Keeping up with the slide, I’ve been frequenting a bald eagle’s nest in Avon Lake, Ohio. Each time I visit my friends up there, I make it a point to visit the nest once or twice. This year, they have 2 healthy eaglets.
The parents were named “Stars” and “Stripes” by the nearby elementary school children, who each year, take a vote to name the newest eaglets. The nest has been active for several years now, and is one of a number of eagles’ nests that are located within a mile or so of Lake Erie, which has a great supply of fish for them to eat.
Because of the national house arrest, I didn’t get to go on my late May trip to CLE, but I hope to do so in July and have already booked a room.
That’s not till June 3!

Glorifying violence - As if looting isn’t violence, but self-defense is.
Incidentally, I got booted off Twitter for mentioning that a cop that was being beaten by a thug, should use his service weapon to shoot his assailant.
Self-defense is a God-given right. Even cops have that right.

What I don’t understand is how the protesters managed to set fire to the police station. Wouldn’t they have to get inside to do that? So did the cops abandon the station first?

The cops high tailed it out of there before it burned down, then watched it burn in the distance.
I believe that I read last night that the cops did abandon the station, and the thugs then entered by force and started fires within the station.
Seems to me that this is another Ferguson, with the local government giving the thugs their “space” rather than doing the right thing and protecting the taxpayer’s property and busting heads.
What is concerning is that the thugs might have gotten access to the stores of police weapons, as they don’t always carry rifles in every car. Things have probably changed over the years, but our locals had their service handgun, along with a shotgun bolted into a lock right on the center of the dashboard, for quick access. Of course, that was back when the shotgun was still called a riot gun.
Sadly, I may be one of 10 people in the entire state of Tennessee that has not watched any Jurassic Park movies, shows, etc., nor ready any such books. So, no.
But I did ensure that my table was steady. :)
