Depends on which “study” ( note the quotes ) you look at.
This NYU School of Medicine Study found HCQ plus Azithromycin plus Zinc to be effective:
“We know too its very safe, as its been taken in various forms by humanity for at least a century.”
It was first used to treat malaria in 1632 as quinine from the bark of the cinchona tree.
When quinine meets stomach acid (hydrochloric acid) and water, it turns into hydroxy-chloro-quinine. It’s just not as efficient in delivery as starting with HCQ, and besides, they make it synthetically now, and don’t need to get it from cinchona bark.

I know- there are studies and trials- actual trials all over the place that show it works- but sadly only the 2 now that show ‘no evide3nce’ will be cited as fact-
not sure I’d trust my life to quercitin for this particular virus- I’d take in addition to HCQ perhaps-
IF i absolutely couldn’t get HCQ I’d take it- but if both were available, I’d go with the medicine first-

To be fair, Fauci did not say he is against HCQ. He was once asked if he would prescribe it to his patients if he were practicing and he said “yes”.
