Man this guy is slow. Sessions recuse himself from the investigation March 2017. I was aware of something major on July 5 of 2016.
Comey stating Hillary didn't intend to brake the law though she did brake the law. The FBI can't prosecute if she had no intention to brake the law
This HAD to be a directive from the president at the time.

One thing you may not know is that I advised from the beginning of the administration that Comey should be removed and the FBI given a fresh start. I concluded that Comey was driven by ego, lacked self-discipline, and lacked the judgement necessary to lead an agency as critical as the FBI....

Sessions just earned 50 social credit points. That was blistering.

If Sessions didn't know he was the subject of a Comey-driven investigation until after the election and after he accepted his appointment, then all he could do, was resign upon learning the same. A resignation Trump neither asked for, nor wanted to accept. In hindsight, would keeping Sessions, but reassigned, say, to Dept of Interior or something (would he have accepted it?), have proved quite the thorn in Comey's side, or Trump's side? Hard call.

Thanks for that. I suppose every politician says what we want to hear, but at least he is saying what we want to hear. I say give the man a chance.

Should remind folks that Sessions was pushed to recuse, not because of Comey investigating him (which was not known to him) but because.... he was seen interacting with Russians!
That was what Rosenstein told him. Piling on with the “you must recuse because you too have been “in contact” with the Russians (just like Flynn-— quelle horreur!).

Disgusting lying Rosenweasel. The T- up was Flynn, then Sessions. Sessions were he a more bold person should have seen through the head fake as ridiculous, and simply not recused himself— they could not force him to recuse. But Sessions spent too much time in the “boys club” Senate, imho.

Still a Trump supporter, who can help in the Senate, far better than his opponent.

Yet, you didn’t say a thing.

He couldn’t. It would look like he was using his position as AG to try to tear down the FBI person investigating him.

Either Sessions was compromised, or he actively blocked A Real Investigation of the Deep State Coup.

He refused to answer inquiries from the Republicans in the House that wanted updates on Fraud Huber.

Compromised - or Active Trump Obstructionist - neither bodes well for Senate Club.

I think Sessions has more direct info than you do, so I believe Sessions - his info will have to hold up through investigation of Comey.

What are the odds that Jeff Sessions was unmasked by Obamagaters? I’d say near 100%, and quite likely where the DS got dirt on him and shut him down.

Trust Sessions to screw us over - again.

If you want more of Rosenstein, Sessions, and Mueller - he’s your man.

So you think he should have compromised himself? That would have harmed Trumps presidency.

Some have asked, why take the job as Attorney General if I knew I would have to recuse myself from the investigation? I knew no such thing. I wasn’t informed of Comey’s secret investigation until after I became Attorney General, and the investigation wasn’t publicly confirmed by the FBI until weeks after my recusal.

In January of 2017, Sessions, at his confirmation hearing, was asked if he would recuse himself from any Clinton investigations. Sessions said yes

On March 2 Sessions announced that he would recuse himself in any investigations “related in any way to the campaign for president of the United States”.

Session is playing fast and loose with his wording in this letter.

Jeff didn't know he would have to recuse himself from the investigation.

Jeff did know he would have to recuse himself if there was an investigation.

And once there was an investigation where he would have to recuse himself, instead of leaving the investigation in the hands of Rob Rosenweasel, he instead SHOULD HAVE RESIGNED.

Comey told a Congressional Committee that Sessions was compromised, and that he could not elaborate further due to classified info.

Sessions was doing whatever they wanted.

Now, they want him in the Senate.

Yesterday was the first time Sessions could clear his name and explain the Deep State plot to wait until he became AG to tell him he was under investigation - as AG, he wouldn’t be able to investigate himself.

So. He should have resigned.

Given his management skills....Jeff might not even be able to run a coffee shop or pizzeria. He seems to be one of those folks who walks around with a 7-line resume on a 3x5 inch card.
