One of our Flubros had the idea for a retrospective to find out what event/news made you decide to become a Flubro/Flubra instead of a Fearper.
For me (don’t know the exact date), it was when scientists were claiming a 3% case fatality rate. The total cases had to be greatly underestimated because no viral disease specifically target seniors. Viruses don’t avoid young people - there had to be a massive untested population of young people who were infected and asymptomatic.
Deaths are plummeting in the USA according to worldometer. These restrictions have to go. We need one state to say there are absolutely no more restrictions. A few states have scaled back their restrictions but they are still there. And I am sick of these 3 phase plans and 5 phase plans and 10 phase plans. Someone somewhere please just say there are no phases and all restrictions are lifted.

What must occur before you would join in with the growing demand that the governors end the lockdown of America and restore our liberties such as freedom to travel, freedom to reopen our businesses, freedom to engage in group activities such as sports, parties and concerts ... those sorts of things?

I suspected from day 1 that this was political.
The left induced hysteria, the science, the lack of bodies stacked like cord wood, the economic collapse all served to further cement my suspicion that this was played because they could not impeach, russiagate, ukrainegate, stormygate....
Swine flu, bird flu, ebola, krockodile, and every other mass hysteria event on FR over the years made me a flubro from the get go.
I’m considered an essential employ so I’m out everyday M-F and I’m in a grocery store 3 times a week or so.
No mask, no gloves. Just wash the hands numerous times a day and hand sanitizer at the ready.
The shutdowns and social distancing was to flatten the curve. The areas under everything normal curve and social distancing curve is exactly the same. Nobody gets saved. It just takes longer to get infected while people cower in their hidey holes waiting for a vaccine or cure that may never come.
Meanwhile everyone who have lost their job have their lives ruined.
Last week, Cuomo made it clear that social distancing doesn’t work. He said that the majority of new WuFlu cases in NYC were in people who had been in total lockdown in their homes with zero contact with outsiders.
So we’ve been had. They’ve made fools of us. (We already knew that.)

I think that if PDJT had kept him from testifying at ALL, it would’ve been a problem — optics. The compromise is having him at the Senate where it’ll be a fairer venue, with Americans in charge (instead of commies running the show in the House).

“But also, remember the “Spanish Flu” from the 1910s which did kill enough people that they had to call off world war 1 because they ran out of people to fight. Eventually one of these pandemic scares will be true. But there is no reason to think this is the one.”
I guess I’ve been a flubro from the start.
By the way, the reason she was asking was because my daughter was on her third day of a low grade fever, dry cough, minor aches and pains. Things that make you go hmmm.
I was skeptical at first — just a hinky feeling with nothing really behind it.
When I KNEW it was a crock was the first CV briefing with Trump on stage with Fauci, and Fauci was speaking, bloviating, flailing his arms, and dictating what was what. The look on Trump’s face gave it away. Even HE knew it was a crock, and no worse than the flu.
Maybe Kojak hasn’t heard that even Dr. Scarves now believes that the CDC has grossly inflated those numbers by 25%.
