On 7/16/2018, Barry says clearly (though his supporter in the media have called it an out-of-context slip) said he was "the first US president to come from Kenya." The media quickly lapped up very unofficial polls asking people whether they believed Barry was born in Kenya, or Hawaii. Even in Hawaii some have difficulty with that. All the Honolulu hospital administrations denied having any record of Barry having been born in their hospital, despite the official narrative. The media love slapping down that "birther" label, and Barry refers to anyone not believing his claimed Hawai'ian birth "silliness."
The whole Kenyan connection narrative was a concoction of our DS enemies. Brennan and crew went with it even on Barry's fraudulent Certificate Of Live Birth and Long-Form Birth Certificate. It was set to be a lie from before Barry was born!
By all verified evidence, BHO II was known by the name Barry Soetoro throughout his youth, changing only about the time when he was a registered foreign student at Occidential College. We don't really know how he happened upon using 'Barack,' but suffice to say that it was new to him and his former classmates.
Thanks to Dr. Ronald J. Polland we know Barry's early pictures were typically Photoshoped, particularly all those which showed Barry in the company of BHO Sr. It's really doubtful that Barry and Sr. were ever in the same place, and while Hawai'i Governor Neil Abercrombie claimed that, many consider his story entirely unconvincing. Furthermore, no known and verified evidence shows that Sr. ever acknowledged Barry as his son.
If one listens to Barry's Kenyan-born, purported half-brother, Malik--who certainly knew and spent time with BHO Sr.--speak, he refers to his father as "Barack," as rhyming with "Eric." One should understand that's the way it was pronounced in all Malik's years among the Kenyan famlly.
The most charitable excuse for not having adopted his father's name pronunciation is that Barry thought "ba-ROCK" sounded cooler. It would be just the DS/Dem way to choose to do something according to a focus group of friends over honoring the memory of one's progenitor.
Another possibility is that Barry simply didn't have enough familiarity with anything about BHO I that he didn't know how to pronounce the name he'd never used.
But no, Barry knew that farm-trained BHO Sr. was just another tool in the shed to be used, along the path toward the growing greatness of SAD's foster-child. Polishing that tool for its best use was all that ever mattered.
The origin of the Kenyan connection narrative was from the profile submitted for Hussein for his book by his publicist. Where that arose I’m not sure - my impression at the time was that they’d created this false portrait of him that wouldn’t wash if/when he ran for POTUS requiring naturalized citizen.

All of us *think* we know our birthplace, but since none of us remember it, we have to rely on what we have been told. Or what we’ve seen on our (hopefully not fake) birth certificates.
