I don’t know the so-called Whistleblower Rick Bright, never met him or even heard of him, but to me he is a disgruntled employee, not liked or respected by people I spoke to and who, with his attitude, should no longer be working for our government!

(CNN)Dr. Rick Bright, the ousted director of a key federal office charged with developing medical countermeasures, will testify before Congress on Thursday that the Trump administration was unprepared for the coronavirus pandemic and warn that the the US will face “unprecedented illness and fatalities” without additional preparations.
“Our window of opportunity is closing. If we fail to develop a national coordinated response, based in science, I fear the pandemic will get far worse and be prolonged, causing unprecedented illness and fatalities,” Bright is expected to say Thursday, according to his prepared testimony obtained by CNN. “Without clear planning and implementation of the steps that I and other experts have outlined, 2020 will be darkest winter in modern history.”
Bright is set to testify Thursday morning before the House Committee on Energy and Commerce’s health subcommittee after he filed a whistleblower complaint last week alleging he was removed from his post in retaliation for opposing the broad use of a drug frequently touted by President Donald Trump as a coronavirus treatment.

Trump Admin. to Extend Border Restrictions Until Coronavirus No Longer Poses a ‘Danger’

The Trump administration plans to extend restrictions on border crossings imposed during the coronavirus pandemic indefinitely.
Under the restrictions, legal border crossings between Mexico and Canada have been closed to tourist travel, and people caught crossing the Mexico-U.S. border illegally are immediately returned to Mexico. President Trump signed an executive order in March implementing the restrictions and the order was renewed in April.
“I am extending the duration of the order until I determine that the danger of further introduction of Covid-19 into the United States has ceased to be a danger to the public health,” reads a draft of the newest extension of the order obtained by the New York Times.
The extension requires the approval of Centers for Disease Control and Prevention head Robert Redfield before it takes effect.
Since the border closures were implemented in March, just two asylum seekers who crossed the U.S.-Mexico border have been permitted to remain in the country. During the pandemic, Immigration Customs and Enforcement has released hundreds of illegal immigrants from various detention centers because of the threat of coronavirus outbreaks among detainees.
Democrats’ coronavirus bill would undermine states’ voter ID requirement
Tucked inside House Democrats’ new coronavirus bill is language that would create a loophole in states’ voter ID requirements, allowing people to cast ballots without having to prove who they are.
While the crux of the bill, revealed Tuesday, is a massive injection of taxpayer aid for states, localities and federal agencies dealing with the virus, Democrats also tackled some of their long-standing political goals.
One section of the bill would require states to allow at least 15 days of in-person early voting before Election Day this year, and to also allow voting by mail for any reason, overriding states that have more limited policies.
The new bill would also require that absentee ballots be counted if they arrive up to 10 days after Election Day.
And the legislation says that states that require voter IDs to cast a ballot must allow voters to meet the requirement by self-certifying to their own identity.
The National Conference of State Legislatures says 36 states have some voter ID requirement. About a half dozen of those are “strict” photo ID laws, requiring someone who wants to cast a ballot without photo ID to return with proof within three days for their ballot to be counted.

Martin Armstrong: Are Democrats Trying To Eliminate Proof Of Who You Are To Vote?
After accusing Russia of influencing the 2016 election, they are trying to sneak in open-season for total corruption. It has long been a joke in Chicago where all the dead manage to vote Democratic in elections and the number of votes always exceeds the population.
Now they want votes to be counted with no proof of who you are, alive, dead, an illegal alien not paying taxes or a tourist from Europe, or perhaps even from Mars with green or grey skin.
I warned that the 2020 election will be the MOST CORRUPT in history. The Democrats have proven this is beyond question. The problem they are unleashing is if they have so corrupted the election to overthrow Trump, they will ignore the political bonfire of all time. We will be looking at massive civil unrest and there will be blood in the streets. If the Democrats think that they can get away with that, all civility will come to an end. That would encourage civil war.

Hey! Wait a gol darn minute, from all the gardening I have been reading about on our thread I think many of us are getting a good dose of vitamin D.
Also, as we warm up, time to get out and walk around, enjoy the feel of the sun on your skin.
And a plus to walking is losing a pound or two.
But for the others taking a D supplement is very good advice.
