Total Fake News. Gabe never wrote that I didn’t comment because he left a message and gave me 10 minutes to respond. I’ve been a Senior Advisor to the campaign for months and I’m honored to work to help @realDonaldTrump win in 2020! I don’t think that’s new News! https://t.co/32tN5XyjDo— Corey R. Melinda Gates slams Trump administration for creating 'chaos' and showing lack of leadership in coronavirus response

* Gates, 55, recently spoke to Today's Savannah Guthrie and Politico about federal government's response to COVID-19

* She accused Trump administration of lack of national leadership and gave its handling of the crisis a 'D-minus' grade

* Gates cited Germany as an example of a country that has been able to keep certain sectors of its economy open thanks to its leadership

* Gates bluntly said she was 'disappointed' by President Trump's response to the pandemic, which she said has created 'chaos'

Susan Rice @00:51 – …”Let me explain how this works. I was a National Security Adviser, my job is to protect the American people and the security of our country. That’s the same as the Secretary of State, Secretary of Defense and CIA Director.; and every morning, to enable us to do that, we receive – from the intelligence community – a compilation of intelligence reports that the IC, the intelligence community, has selected for us –on a daily basis– to give us the best information as to what’s going on around the world.”

[Note, Susan Rice is describing the PDB]

“I received those reports, as did other officials, and there were occasions when I would receive a report in which, uh, a ‘U.S Person’ was referred to. Name, uh, not provided, just ‘U.S. Person’.

And sometimes in that context, in order to understand the importance in the report – and assess it’s significance, it was necessary to find out or request, who that U.S. official was.”

With dozens of people with access to President Obama’s PDB, Rice’s unmasking of the intelligence report names gave dozens of people direct access to unmasked intelligence – including Obama officials who could, perhaps did, use the PDB for specific and intentional political purposes.

‘Inordinate amount’ of urine, feces left behind at NJ parks: officials
https://www.pix11.com/news/coronavirus/inordinate-amount-of-urine-feces-left-behind-at-nj-parks-officials

EXCERPT...

New Jersey—As New Jersey state parks reopened during the COVID-19 pandemic, parks police have reported an unsettling “inordinate amount of urine and feces being left behind.”

State Police Superintendent Pat Callahan announced the “disheartening” information during Gov. Phil Murphy’s coronavirus briefing Monday.

There is a “zero tolerance” policy for anyone who is caught in such a situation, Callahan said. “The whole idea behind parks is to give citizens time to enjoy fresh air and have time outside,” he added.

“We understand restrooms are closed, but people should be planning accordingly and should not be urinating in bottles and leaving them behind,” Callahan said.

DOJ crackdown on China influence inside research universities expands to Arkansas

Longtime University of Arkansas professor charged with wire fraud for failing to disclose Chinese payments while getting NASA funding.

By John Solomon Last Updated: May 11, 2020 - 8:52pm

A Justice Department crackdown on secret Chinese influence inside American universities has expanded to Arkansas, where a longtime professor has been charged with concealing payments from Beijing while receiving federal funding from NASA.

A criminal indictment unsealed Monday evening revealed that Simon Saw-Teong Ang, 63, of Fayetteville, Ark., a professor since 1988 at the University of Arkansas and the director of its High Density Electronics Center, was arrested on a wire fraud charge.

The arrest comes after a major case brought in January against a high-profile Harvard University researcher.

https://justthenews.com/government/courts-law/doj-sides-south-carolinas-absentee-ballot-witness-requirements

he Justice Department on Monday filed a Statement of Interest asserting that South Carolina’s witness requirement for absentee ballots does not violate Section 201 of the Voting Rights Act.

The filing in a South Carolina federal court also notes that the court does not qualify to handle claims relating to Section 201 of the Voting Rights Act because a three-judge federal district court is required to hear such matters.

The Justice Department noted that if the court agreed with the plaintiff’s claims regarding Section 201 and completely blocked South Carolina’s witness requirement for absentee ballots, that decision would seem to ban such measures in other states as well.

The department noted that it did not stake out a view regarding any of the private plaintiffs’ other claims in the case.

“The Voting Rights Act outlaws certain practices that deprive Americans of the right to vote because of race and other protected traits,” Assistant Attorney General Eric Dreiband for the Civil Rights Division said. “The Voting Rights Act does not outlaw all voting-related requirements enacted by the States.”
