There's a lot of fexperts (freepin experts) claiming that masks don't work.

CDC begs to difer.

They're not 100% protection. But even a grade school kid, would conclude that masks block some of the particles. And if everyone wears them, that two layers of protection.

Fewer particles, less likely you get a severe case, if you get sick at all.

They were against them before they were for them before they were against them.

And now I guess they’re for them.

I wonder if the restricted fresh air to one’s lungs poses any health issues.

Anything to keep the populace freaked out. If you’re sick, stay home. Or if you cough and sneeze a lot, wear a mask...but don’t require it.

Yeah, they pretty much nailed it in January and February when they said the china virus was nothing to worry about. And they are totally credible regarding HCQ/Z Pack/Zinc. /s

I think it was only the Surgeon General who was against them, and the immediate need was to stop the public from buying medical grade masks because government was caught short handed for medical workers and first responders.

Even now they aren’t recommending medical grade for the public. But they ARE recommending masks.

It’s not that hard to wear one for a couple of months, to protect others.

They flip-flopped on this issue more than a bluefish landing in the bottom of the boat.

They are clueless. Fubared this from the get-go. No reason to invest any faith into what they say now.

No one is saying a couple of months. It is OPEN ENDED, which is a whole 'nother problem.

Frankly I think it's largely a psy-op to keep Walmart employees from getting spooked and abandoning their jobs.

The CDC? I couldn’t be more impressed if it came right from the mouth of the WHO!

BTW - the county I live in has a population of 1,000,000. To date, we’ve had around 70 deaths, and 40 of those were in nursing homes. So outside of nursing homes? 30 deaths out of 1,000,000.

It ain’t “just the flu” but it sure as heck isn’t instant death!

Okay but how many cases do you have in your county?

New cases are what you need to focus on. If new cases is down to 30 a day, then maybe you don’t need to wear a mask.

I want to know how acceptable it will be to wear a mask in public some time in the future when no one has any special concern about this virus or any other virus. Will I be able to go into a bank wearing a mask? Will a police officer demand that I reveal my face while he talks to me?

The thing that bothers me more than anything is the concept that the rules just change from day to day and I have to be good little sheep and that I MUST do this until they tell I CANNOT to this and if I wait long enough they will insist again that I MUST do this. I am a free man. I won’t play that game.

I strongly suspect that if each and every one of us wrote...

“F*** You, Governor [fill in the blank}”

...on the front of our masks, our elites would quickly lose enthusiasm for the idea.

One of the admirals on the task force discussed face masks in detail on the daily broadcast.

He told us that wearing face masks will not protect a person from the virus. That is, wearing the facemask does not protect you from the virus. Separation of 6 feet will and does

The face mask prevents transmission of the virus from you to others. The virus is stopped from being expelled by the face mask. Thus, those with the virus and those not knowing they have the virus must wear the masks to prevent unknowingly spreading it to others. Since you do not knw if you are a carrier, wear the face mask in public

If you aren’t getting enough fresh air to the lungs, you will know it, because you’ll pass out.

No, but restricting the intake of oxygen and breathing your own CO2 does. Has anyone noticed that the people who are speaking at the task force briefings are closer than six feet and none are wearing masks...?
