Sunlight, heat and humidity may have a “powerful” impact on killing the coronavirus within one or two minutes, a Department of Homeland Security official said on Thursday.
Increasing temperatures, humidity and sunlight are detrimental to coronavirus saliva droplets on surfaces and in the air, Homeland Security official William Bryan reported at a White House press conference.
President Trump said of the emerging results, “The whole concept of the light, the way it kills it in one minute, that’s pretty powerful.”
Trump said, “We want ideas to get rid of this thing, and if heat is good and if sunlight is good, that’s a great thing as far as I’m concerned.”

The elderly and those suffering from heart disease, diabetes, high or low blood pressure and those on medication should not use hot tubs. Sitting in a hot tub dilates blood vessels, raises body temperature, lowers blood pressure or raises blood pressure depending on the individual.

It is curious that summer warmth is supposed to kill the virus which thrives happily in an environment of 98.6 degrees F. Sunshine likely kills it. Sunshine(vitamin D) is the preventative and cure for colds and regular flu. Vitamin D3 supps in the winter do the same thing.
Take D3 supplements. WalMart sells the 5000 iu gelcaps for cheap. I work at night and don’t see much sun ever so I take those gelcaps and have not had any flu or colds since 2006. I don’t take the shots either.
Forget the heat. I think it takes 133 degrees to kill the virus. The sunshine is magic, though. It eliminates seasonal flu and colds.
I have a UV light for purifying water in my backpack and we use UV light to purify water or keep it purified at work.
Sunlight is the best disinfectant....

baloney - then why is Forida, TX, etc dealing with it? their weather now is simialr to what northern states will expect for summer. so if it’s still ahppening in those warmer states now........northen states shouldn’t expect any help when summer weather comes.

Even with the flu, we don’t know exactly why it spreads more in winter and most of the cases happen then, various ideas have been proposed ranging from the fact that people are indoors way more in winter and autumn, people get less sunlight, etc.
Quito has tropic sun. That is the best medicine for regular flu and colds. Spend time outdoors every day with short sleeves in Quito and you won’t ever get colds or flu.
High altitude UV surely plays a part.
Back in 1918it was noted by many nurses and doctors that people whose cots were placed outside of the big tents used as overflow hospitalization in the day time had better outcomes.
