Not to nit-pick but, that is a freezer. Not a fridge.

But, the evidence of a faulty seal is not just the dislodged seal. Evidence of a faulty seal is also the frost build-up on the inner surfaces of the freezer.

R U sure the pic is from the Wuhan level 4 containment lab? If so her PPE is all wrong if she is handling level 3 or level 4 frozen samples. Most biological samples are stored in Vapor phase LN2 not in a -80C freezer.

Everyone should keep in mind that we're buying processed foods from these slobs that stock the inventory of many a store. Their standards of QA/QC for that can't be much better than what's seen in this lab.

I think our society has been extremely lucky in so many catastrophes NBC. The next big one may be when luck runs out. A virus can easily wipe the planet’s population out. To be fair I don’t believe that seal was ever designed to keep any biological elements from escaping. It is only a refrigeration seal. The vile themselves would contain the seals that mattered. I agree with the idea that photo is probably not even from the level 4 lab because of what she is wearing. If it is from a level 4 containment area then God help us all.
