I recorded daily numbers for a few weeks from Washington, hoping to track the curve.
I went back later and looked at the daily numbers history. Many had changed, some by a lot. I’d suggest leaving the latest few days off of any analysis.
Most CV sites have a warning up about this.

I use the "Total Cases" and then calculate the "Daily" by subtraction in my Excel spreadsheet.
Hence, my methodology is consistent from day to day and the "Daily" fluctuations due to reporting should all wash out over any series of days.

wordometers also has an “active cases” column.
Using worldometers number from EOD yesterday:
“EOD today”(04/18) new cases against EOD yesterday’s(04/17) “active cases” = 4.8% - probably more accurate.
People are looking at numbers and their heads are exploding.
The percent of growth is and has been coming down.
I listen to Brix every day and she still uses numbers.
What is still head scratchin is:
the combined population of France, Italy, Spain, Germany, and UK is approx 320 million almost the same as the U.S..
They’ve tested way more than the U.S. yet the U.S. has way less deaths and way less recovered.

It was also on April 19th - this time in 1995 - that bombing of the Murray Federal Bldg. happened in OKC. I’m sure that was just a coinkydink.
