Using worldometers number from EOD yesterday:
“EOD today”(04/18) new cases against EOD yesterday’s(04/17) “active cases” = 4.8% - probably more accurate.
People are looking at numbers and their heads are exploding.
The percent of growth is and has been coming down.
I listen to Brix every day and she still uses numbers.
What is still head scratchin is:
the combined population of France, Italy, Spain, Germany, and UK is approx 320 million almost the same as the U.S..
They’ve tested way more than the U.S. yet the U.S. has way less deaths and way less recovered.
Does any of this and what we are doing have any real meaning other than reducing the stress on the health care providers?

FYI, I look at multiple sites at around 12:00 a.m. Eastern time, including Worldometers and Johns Hopkins, and generally take the highest count for "Total U.S Cases."
Weeks ago I noticed the discrepancies between sites, presumably caused because some of the data is manually entered whenever they get around to it. However, the sites always seem to "Catch up" with each other the following day, which is why I take the highest count I find at midnight.
It's not a perfect system, but I try and keep my methodology consistent from day to day.
Consider:
* Many county Health Depts are not reporting ANY "Recoveries". Why?
* Many hospitals are fudging numbers (as the stories go) to capture more non-CV deaths as CV deaths. Why? Money/incentives.
* What happened to flu deaths? Seemingly lumped in to CV deaths?
* Why is the H1N1 response (Soetoro/BiteMe) being swept under the rug? Why such a radically different response? (Answer seems obvious, doesn't it?
* "Anecdotal" use of successful treatment protocols are dismissed as quackery, yet where is the double-blind, multi-year "science" that says staying inside and NOT participating in herd immunity is declared unsuccessful for COVID-19 while herd immunity is part of the life cycle for ALL OTHER viruses?
