A slide - or a sign of how things are...
Got a little heated on FB (yeah, I know, shouldn’t go there) when I posted some information provided by a doctor considering the price of HCQ + ZPac versus some other new drug, including the number of US manufacturers presently making each. The usual detractors came out of the woodwork, with the same claims, HCQ is unproven, blah, blah, blah, Orange Man Bad.
The discussion continued with me also posting a video clip of Dr. Oz on Fox, which brought my liberal sister into the fray, calling Dr. Oz a quack (as if she’s an expert on medicine, but I digress).
Anyway, I mentioned that she only said that because Trump mentioned the drug 2 or 3 weeks ago.
Her reply: “Trump is not a medical doctor so he needs to STFU”.
Well, you just know my reply would be similar, and it was as thus: “You aren’t an MD either, so maybe you should STFU”.
Naturally, she was put off and told me that I had to apologize to her immediately. And naturally, I told her that I would after she apologized to the President and the 63 million Americans that support him. I also mentioned that I had seen her numerous screeds against the President that she and her harpies had been posting all over FB.
Then I unfriended her - end of story.
Anybody having problems with liberal family members that are so blinded by the MSM lies that they are seething with hatred and are not even reasonable? Is this the sign that the country is about to explode?
Or am I just dealing with a bullheaded liberal sister that refuses to admit that she’s wrong...

When the arrests happen and the crimes are made public then regular liberals/dems will have to either wake up or live lives of hellish anger and misery. Their choice.

Sigh.......I too have a liberal brother with liberal daughters who I love dearly and they love me. However, they appear blinded by TDS and SJW bs. Sometimes I can’t tell if they are brainwashed from NPR, CNN, Boston College, and Georgetown connection OR if they really believe the nonsense being fed them. Kind people, smart people. Smarter than they are acting. I think part of the problem is my sister in law’s brother who was a career diplomat for the State Department, last stationed in Italy. He and his hippy wife were married in the middle of UT Austin. He is a very nice man too but one of that generation of kind of revolutionaries who became the establishment and sought elite status. My brother was married on the campus of U of Arkansas, very nice, free spirited college kids. Now he is a well respected businessman and researcher in the nursery business. He travels worldwide including many trips to China. He talks somewhat admiringly of the Chinese and I know members of the CCP have treated him to lavish gatherings. I know the research is valuable. I am troubled by his friendliness but how many businesses like what China offers but ignore the cost/expectation? As Bannon says, they know the price of everything but the cost of nothing.
We have deluded ourselves, those of us who have assumed China has the same values and goals we have. I hope that is becoming obvious.
I have emailed a thing to my brother that submitted China may be about to start a war with US. He poo-pooed that as did another friend contact who tracks China. The other friend says China has been weakened too. It appears we may well be at war, silently.
I have unfollowed the daughters. They post some ridiculous stuff straight out of left wing politics. They probably are mad at me for what I post. Oh well. Brother hasn’t returned a phone call for a few weeks. I do wonder what his friend that works for Bill Gates in London knew and told brother early on. My nephew was living and working in Long Island but moved to Houston. He had a job change but was there more to getting out of NY? I can’t help being suspicious.

My wife’s sister in law is like that.(and so is my uncle)
We usually shut them up with: How have you been personally affected by the election of Donald Trump? Usually, there is no response as they go on to the next talking point: He abuses women.
To which we ask: Why weren’t you any kind of angry when Bill Clinton was doing Monica in the Oval Office? or when it came out he allegedly raped Juanita?
Then they go to the next talking point: He’s a racist?
To which we ask: The guy who dated a black woman for a while?
Then we ask the real question: What are you so mad about? is it because he isn’t she?
The conversation either peters out or they circle around and start all over again.
I ask if we can just sit down and talk about it? none have taken up the offer.

No lol. I shut my business down a year ago. Smartest thing I’ve done since I started it. We (hubby and I) got off FB a while ago. Life has been peaceful ever since. And thank goodness, my family is mostly Conservative MAGA Trump supporters!
I had a private dog grooming salon at my house. I had to have a sign on my desk that said “NO POLITICS”... seriously. I had clients start to complain about the political climate. Sometimes I’d set them straight in a nice way, but most of the time, I’d point to the sign and say “you’re upsetting your dog and I have to groom it” lol.
The best was right after BPE Trump was elected, one lady came in, plopped herself down in the waiting chair (should have had it electrified lol) and said..”Well, I guess we are all going to be deported, oh except for you, you aren’t Mexican.” And THAT pissed me off to no end, so I said..”Almost though, my Chinese grandmother walked across the border at Mexicali and had my mother in Calexico.” She turned BEET RED ahahahahahahahah. Disclaimer..I have not had my DNA tested and I have no idea if my grandmother was part Chinese or not. But the rest is true.
