Much has been made in the last few days of a disproportionate number of Afro-Americans falling to COVID-19. This is claimed to be a failing of our HCS. The questions are, though:

Are a disproportionate % of a-A’s testing positive?

Are a disproportionate % of a-A’s dying in medium income or affluent areas, adjusted on a per capita basis?

How much of this is due to preferred diet? (I don’t quite “buy” the argument that a-A’s can’t afford healthy food - most that I see at Wal-Mart or Aldi are generally buying food that is more expensive AND less healthy than what I buy.)

Why are they “controversial?” Because President Trump “touted” them. It would be different if Obama had touted them, of course. Then instead of “controversial,” they’d be “lifesaving miracle drugs.”

Exactly.

The media poisons the water constantly with the term *controversial* all the time.

EVERYTHING is controversial to some nut. If I catch, cook, and eat a bluegill, and post a popular vid of the catch on You Tube, somebody will accuse me of cruelty to animals...

Speaking of Polio:

"Promising to eradicate Polio with $1.2 billion, Gates took control of India's National Advisory Board (NAB) and mandated 50 polio vaccines (up from 5) for every child before age 5.

Indian doctors blame the Gates campaign for a devastating vaccine-strain polio epidemic that paralyzed 496,000 children between 2000 and 2017. In 2017k, the Indian government dialed back Gates' vaccine regimen and evicted Gates and his cronies from the NAB. Polio paralysis rates dropped precipitously.

In 2017, the World Health Organization reluctantly admitted that the global polio explosion is predominantly vaccine strain, meaning it is coming from Gates' Vaccine Program. The most frightening epidemics in Congo, the Philippines, and Afghanistan are all linked to Gates' vaccines.

By 2018, 3/4 of global polio cases were from Gates' vaccines.

Direct relationship to BMI/A1C.

Go watch old episides of Soul Train to see what average AA people’s BMI was in the 70’s.

Compare/contrast to today.

Do it for white people too...

It’s linked to insulin resistance, fasting insulin and A1C.

Which is why the idea of ‘letting it burn through’ the population based on what’s going on in Sweden is nuts. Sweden, as a country, has been on the Keto bandwagon for several years. And they have *never* had the proportion of fat people that the US has right now. Of any racial, ethnic, or age demographic group. And I say this as a fat woman.

Seems reasonable. Let’s hope we do far fewer.

If the numbers work out like that, I would consider that a success (if you can call it that).

He had been in the hospital since March 26.

Do we think it will be totally gone by the end of June?

While I certainly hope so, that doesn’t seem realistic compared with other pandemics?

I can’t wait for normalcy again.

(yes, I know I know...)

I think it might wane, but I think it will come roaring back in the fall. Based on some history the second wave might be worse. I wish it would go the way of SARS...

yep

I just used those as a starting point to see where we are at

anything over, such as 1000 a day in April, will have to be moved to another “slot” to keep those numbers..for example if 1700 deaths today , 700 needs to be moved to other days... (ie 500 to April 30th , 200 to May 1st etc)

Blow to Britain’s hopes for coronavirus antibody testing as study finds a THIRD of recovered patients have barely-detectable evidence they have had the virus already

- Nearly third of patients have very low levels of antibodies, Chinese study found
- Antibodies not detected at all in 10 people, raising fears they could be reinfected
- Explains why UK Government repeatedly delayed rolling them out to the public

In spite of the reality that the African continent has the world’s highest incidence of HIV and tuberculosis (among other diseases), Tedros yesterday called a proposal of French scientists to offer experimental treatments and/or vaccines to the African nations as ‘racist’.

So when Africans start dying by the hundreds of thousands, I hope Africa remembers it was not for want of trying to help.

== =

Now we start hearing about Africa.

So much for warmer weather knocking this stuff out.

Tedros is a despicable, ChiCom tool.

Do you mean disorders like sickle cell? Wouldn’t that explain African American populations getting hit hard, in addition to socio-economic/diet related issues?
