There is a reason less than half of your compatriots bother to get the crap shoot that is the flu virus.

If you are not older or immuno compromised then the flu shot is not worth the hassle of getting sick.

Not everybody is a lemming in this country.
Flu shots almost always miss the mark for that year.

Trump will not be able to do anything to help him. My brother in-law who is from Scotland is very upset about this.

BREATHING THROUGH DROWNING LUNGS
—SHOULD YOU NEED TO ©

As a lifelong severe asthmatic, I can add to that:

1. HEAT on your mid-back.
It keeps the mucus from hardening in your lungs.
Lying on a warm surface, on your stomach, IN THE SUN, will warm your lungs AND add vitamins D and K to your beleaguered body.
I call it “baking my lungs”, and have HORRIFIED passersby, seeing me face down on my balcony...

2. Kids’ warm-air humidifier, WITH eucalyptus drops in the water, unless allergic to it.

3. Pummeling your lungs, gently but firmly, however you can, keeps mucus moving.

4. Use your inhaler like you’re taking a hit of dope, multiple breathes in, before you release. You’ll learn to feel the air getting to the BOTTOM of your lungs.

5. Just taking breaths like that can help to keep the bottoms of your lungs oxygenated.

6. Prop up. You won’t have the strength to SIT up, but propping your lungs more vertically will help mucus from settling in the backs of your lungs.

ONE CORRECTION: I think his exhale should be a harder expellation of air, like a big “HUFF!”—even make the noise. That makes your diaphragm drop, and further expands your lungs.

WELCOME TO MY WORLD

I think I read that would melt the fibers and they would be less effective.

Summary of changes in IHME projection.
I notice they now have Va pealing 4/20 instead of 5/20. Maybe the curious old date was a typo.

N95 masks have a little metal strip at the bridge of the nose which exists to allow the mask to fit better there.

So there will be an electrical arc from the microwave's magnetron to the metal strip.

The mask has fiberglass weaving in it. This will melt. It is also flammable when melted. The webbing holding the mask to the head will also melt. It too is flammable.

The electrical arc from the magnetron to the metal strip in the mask will ignite the flammable materials.

You will then have a nice smoky, awful smelling, and even a little bit dangerous, fire going on inside the microwave, complete with sparking.

Sneakers, at least the old-fashioned kind, had metal eyelets for the laces. Those too used to produce electrical arcing from the microwave's magnetron to the laces. I think the eyelets are plastic in today's sneakers.

Old-fashioned sneakers had rubber soles. Current ones have some sort of plastic material as soles, and a lot more plastic in the body.

Clifford Stoll, in his 1989 book, The Cuckoo's Egg: Tracking a Spy Through the Maze of Computer Espionage, tried nuking his wet sneakers in a microwave to dry then. The sneakers melted and ignited, producing a nice smoky fire reeking of burned and melting rubber.

Compatriots?

It's always a crap shoot. So? People do their research, reach out to their MD, PA, NP, etc. and hopefully make the best decisions for *themselves* - that does not make them a lemming.

In many states, HCP don't even need to get flu shots (some can't). They just wear masks during the primary flu season.

Trump sent people over for a complex treatment..which sounds like it might be some kind of plasma or oxygenated blood type scenario

I use an ozone generator for the groceries and stuff. Let it run in the trunk for a half hour or more at 100 cubic feet / min. is probably overkill. After a few times it destroyed the elastic on the mask. So I just air dry the masks now for 3 to 4 days to destroy the virus. I bought a bunch of rubber bands for the masks - so replaced the elastic that I destroyed.
