Did you all see Dr. Campbell’s YouTube this morning? He said a new Imperial College study published on Monday has expounded on the basis of the Oxford Study last week.

He said Imperial College’s study looked at 11 European nations, including France, Germany, Italy, UK and Spain, and that in there opinion, somewhere between 1.8% and 11.43% of the inhabitants of those nations have been or are now infected. They said that Italy and Spain have been hit particularly hard.

Even using the lowest number of 1.8%, Italy with a population of 60,000,000 would have 1,128,000 people currently or previously infected. The current positive test case count is 115,000.

I think it was in the same Imperial study where they said they think the overall mortality rate will be 0.66%, which, if you look at Italy’s 13,915 deaths, would put them at about 2,100,000 total infections, which would square with them being hit harder than the other countries and would put them at about 3.5% infected rate of total population.

I’m back to work, on the road up in Wisconsin tonight, so if this has been addressed in thread, I missed it but did want to hear the groups thoughts on it.

Even the lowest number of 1.8% would be fantastic news. We’d still have the problem of lots of people getting sick, lots of people dying and our hospitals being overwhelmed. However, each of our individual chances of getting very sick would be greatly reduced.

You will have to look at the transcript because I can’t be specific on it.

“new confusion or inability to arouse”

I thought that was a sign of too much to drink.

At least 97 people in Colorado have died from complications from the novel coronavirus, as hospitalizations rose to 710, state health officials announced Thursday.

The announcement of 3,728 confirmed cases in the state — and 17 new deaths — comes as top health officials scramble to get enough beds, ventilators and other medical supplies before a feared surge in COVID-19 cases overwhelms the health care capacity.

Glad someone posted that!

After Johnnie rotten spammed these threads with his nastiness, usually the first sentence a nasty comment. Then a copy/paste with “look here” pointing at the site, I also did a quick search about that site and it was readily apparent what you posted.

His actions were OBVIOUSLY a click bait to the site and I still wonder about this user.

A little gem from the article. This is part of a statement from the House Armed Services Committee Leadership:

"The COVID pandemic presents a set of new challenges and there is much we still do not know. Captain Crozier was justifiably concerned about the health and safety of his crew, but he did not handle the immense pressure appropriately. However, relieving him of his command is an overreaction."

LOL. Makes sense said no one ever. That's exactly why he deserved to get the hook - he did not handle the pressure appropriately. Considering he has responsibility for special weapons, he needs to be able to handle pressure situations - no matter what they are.

I am agnostic on it at this point.

The testing is so far behind everywhere that it is hard to figure out what is really happening out there.

This Dr talking now is fixated on using the word granular.

I never know what she is talking about when she says “in a very granular way”. She uses this word all the time

Birx spewing bullsh!t about why the CDC won’t formally recommend masks.

She’s saying just because you have a mask on, don’t get a “false sense of security and touch your eyes”.

So, no recommendation for masks because they are afraid the stupid commoners will still touch their eyes.

You can’t even make this stuff up.

Unless you’re Birx.
