Same thing happened to former CIA chief William Colby in 1996, near the confluence of the Wicomico and Potomac Rivers.
Waters must be treacherous in that area.
Pretty sure Colby was murdered.
Don’t know about this case. Seems mighty strange to me, though, that hubby couldn’t find a power boat and go out to save them. My husband is an old coot, but he would have found a way.
