in CA they have only gotten 30,000 test results back (8155 positive)
57,000 tests are pending....and have been for days....reports that there are not enough processing labs
by comparison NY state. 50% the population, has gotten 220,000 test results back

1/2 of China was shut down, like the US. They were not making a lot. Hubei was locked down...but it was serious everywhere else.

We prayed for the whole family over dinner tonight and will keep them in our prayers.
My daughter, who is friends and teammate with the granddaughter of this couple, was afraid to get in touch with her. She didn’t want her to feel any worse bringing up her grandpa. I had to remind her that’s what friends are for, to comfort them in their pain and sorrow. She decided to text and they will be speaking a little later tonight actually on the phone.
Anecdotal evidence is only evidence of someone relaying an anecdote.
But there are always margins in precautionary limits. Because they are not precise and somebody always pushes it.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, Md. (WJZ) — Six residents and a staff member at a Baltimore County nursing home have tested positive for coronavirus, officials said Wednesday.
The residents of Genesis Loch Raven Center in Parkville who tested positive were five women between the ages of 50 and 89 and a man in his 80s. The staff member, a woman in her 50s, tested positive but has since been cleared to return to work.
At Heritage Center in Dundalk, one resident and one staff member also tested positive.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — A Southern California nursing home has more than 50 residents infected with coronavirus — a troubling development amid cautious optimism that cases in the state might peak more slowly than expected.
Cedar Mountain Post Acute Rehabilitation in Yucaipa has been told to assume that all of its patients have covid-19, San Bernardino County Department of Public Health Director Trudy Raymundo said. As of Tuesday, 51 residents and six staff members had tested positive. Two patients have died.

Massachusetts making nursing homes coronavirus care centers as hospitals overflow

Massachusetts officials are converting nursing homes into care centers for people recovering from the coronavirus, while moving the elderly residents into separate facilities, as part of a statewide effort to free up space at overflowing hospitals and expand patient treatment capacity.
“We understand that this is not an easy thing to ask residents, families and nursing facilities to do, but it is necessary for the health and safety of the current residents and to ensure COVID-19 patients are receiving care in appropriate medical settings,” Health and Human Services Secretary Marylou Sudders wrote in a letter Friday, announcing the state’s decision.
According to the letter, the first nursing home designated to undergo such a conversion is Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in Worcester.
A spokeswoman for Beaumont said Wednesday that several residents tested positive for coronavirus and will remain at the facility, but said plans to begin taking patients from area hospitals on April 6 remain on track.

January 24th is when I started buying lots of stuff online and at the stores after hearing about Wuhan shut down. I already had masks from a few years ago for a bad fire season.
February 21st was my last trip to a store for preparing. Still go out once a week for groceries for us and four other people.
Rick Scott Demands Investigation of China–WHO Ties

Senator Rick Scott (R., Fla.) called Tuesday for Congress to investigate the World Health Organization’s ties to China, accusing the organization of relaying Chinese propaganda during the Wuhan-coronavirus pandemic.
The WHO needs “to be held accountable for their role in promoting misinformation and helping Communist China cover up a global pandemic,” Scott said in a statement. “We know Communist China is lying about how many cases and deaths they have . . . and the WHO never bothered to investigate further. Their inaction cost lives.”
Its the China Plague.
We need the US Senate to declassify their late February classified briefing—what did the US Senate know that day—and what action did they take based on the new information.
China was bad—but the US Congress was also bad imho.
Pompeo Urges Americans Abroad To Return Home Immediately

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is urging Americans who are still abroad and wish to return to the United States to do so “immediately,” as commercial and government-chartered flights could soon stop due to the coronavirus pandemic.
“Americans who wish to return home from abroad should do so immediately and make arrangements to accomplish that,” Pompeo said during a Tuesday briefing.
Pompeo said his repatriation task force is committed to bringing all U.S. citizens home, but cautioned that the window to do so is becoming more narrow.

They cannot blame _that_ on China.
Yes. Declassify that briefing now. We have congress critters that sold off millions in stock. Then today my senator, loeffler, has to explain millions in stock purchases to a company that manufactures medical protective gear.
We need to fire each and every member of Congress. They are all complicit and corrupt.
