Here’s the one I ordered, but have no idea how good it will be:

You could make a pretty good haul - they are going for $10-15/mask!

“we’ll all be having intermittent lockdowns until we give up and let everyone die”

That is the certain outcome in the long run.

Everyone gets it.

And somewhere between 2% and 5% die from it...and the lack of hospital care.

Until vaccine.

The real problem being not that the cities are as packed-in as New York, but that lots of New Yorkers fled to these areas prior to the CDC travel advisory. Some of them were infected, and on and on it goes.

I wonder if one of the staffers in the rest home that made my town hot recently went to New York.

Those mill gear masks would be EASY to make....with old DriWeave leightweight jackets or shirts/shorts, etc.

I’m going to see if hubby’s company has any old ones (in storage) with the company logo.

They always throw out (or just keep in storage) older designs when they order new products. The logo stays the same, though.

While Fulton County (Atlanta) has the most cases (624), the worst hit place in GA is Dougherty County, GA in southern Georgia. The population is around 90k, but they have 480 cases and 27 deaths. It has one of the highest CFR per capita in the world.

Is that the area where that idiot broke quarantine to attend a funeral, or is that hot spot farther north?

“I’ll say it again - there are no face masks for regular people. So why are the talking heads on TV raising anxiety about facemasks? It’s intentional provoking and it’s cruel.”

Agreed.

Well, I did feel like my own assembly line...I was cutting out multiple fabric sets, and pieces (elastic, wires, etc) at a time.

I figured out short cuts, from some of the vids, already.

I haven’t mass produced anything sewn, in a looooooong time..lol.

I heard a conversation in Wal-Mart in which a Black lady was discussing the current situation with a staffer, and she said that her husband is a prepper, and that drove her crazy, but she now understood it. I said to her, “Good Husband.”

Well the schools in GA are closed for the remainder of the school year. Feel bad for the seniors who would have graduated, hopefully they can do something for them in the fall when school resumes.

Governor Kemp to speak at I think 6:30 too. Hopefully he isn’t following Floridas new guidance.

Yes I think most of the hospitals have some available and are using it. It’s in the treatment protocol I posted of the Eastern Virginia Medical School and I know it was used at Maimonides Hospital NYC.

Looks like they try HCQ/Zpack first, then if that doesn’t work, remdesivir (if available with compassionate use) or tocilizumab/actemra. Whatever works.

As I understand it, this coronavirus, like others, is actually quite stable. Some strains may be more vicious than others, but once you’ve had one, you’d likely be partially immune to most of the other ones.

freedom of religion was not impacted by jailing an idiot preacher endangering public health. A preacher's job is to minister to his flock, not poison them with disease and then send them forth into a community. That's not exactly practicing ‘love one another.’

This preacher could have set up a live-stream, a drive-in, or any of half a dozen other ideas. But he was an Alfred E. Neuman, “what, me worry?” level of jackass. His church is not about him, it's about HIM. Preacher needs to get his priorities straight - and so do his parishioners.

there is an interview of the owner. he showed how they were made. there is a pocket for the filter.

he had a bunch of fancy sewing machines in the background. must also have some kind of imprinting machine. It only costs $5.00 more per mask to upload a pic or logo or whatever you want.

OMG..this dude talking right now at the press conf. is talking just like you expect a military to talk

It is hilarious.

Stuccato.

Thank you!!! for that Etsy link...easy peasy to convert my pattern, I think.

I’ll give it a try, on my next one.

I wonder what her filter insert is. It almost looks like a swiffer cloth, or a dried wipe??

“My sympathy meter for miss socialist is pegging at 0.1”

The proper nomenclature is “givvash!tometer”.

And mine has been on zero for the stupid since late January.

People are going to do what they want to do.

I keep a WIDE BERTH between myself and the stupid.

I somehow managed to not get the measles when young (before the vaccine was widely available.) But I did get mumps and chickenpox.

I had not heard someone broke quarantine but there were 2 funerals, one on 2/29 and one on 3/7 that they believe is the source of most of the outbreak.
