I agree with you, it depends on the area.

Good friend who is an EMT in a suburb of Portland, Oregon said they are slammed and he says "it's real".

A friend needed to take his grandmother to the hospital in Spokane, WA to have something done to her port (?) having to do with ongoing cancer treatment. When she called to make the appointment the hospital said "do not come here" and transferred paperwork to a rural hospital 40 miles to the north.

One more...relative in large, metro area of NC tried to take grandson to the ER (crashing on bicycle) they wouldn't even let them in the ER. She threw a fit, hospital aid/nurse came out. She said parking lot was close to empty but they are not letting visitors in. Told her to go to a rural hospital ER that was about one hour away.

All anecdotal but all people I trust. Take it for what's worth.

The “Port” is an implanted receiver for chemo treatments. (rather than using a vein which would become worn out)

Ports have to be flushed weekly (i think) so they don’t plug up and get infected. I get infusions for an auto-immune disease similar to Lupus and my veins are shot. Was thinking about a port but now I’m going to hold out as long as I possibly can.

One of our granddaughters is an RN in a Portland, OR emergency room. She says she's seen many chicomvirus cases and is too overworked to check in with the family often. We're in Texas so it's anecdotal here too but she's impressed on all to stay home!

Could they be getting the hospitals ready to take in abuse victims during the takedown?
