Here’s The Food People Refuse To Buy Even During A Pandemic
Daily Caller ^ | March 27, 2020 | Marlo Safi

If eyes are windows to the soul, what was left behind in the grocery stores after coronavirus panic buying are windows to what Americans won’t eat even in extreme circumstances.

People began sharing pictures on social media of what items were left behind after the shopping surge. The foods — such as cauliflower crust pizza or chocolate hummus — and the empty shelves once stocked with more appetizing foods are juxtaposed.

Carrot spirals were unpopular enough that Twitter users from different Trader Joe’s locations shared their pictures of the same stacked up boxes.

Chocolate and buffalo hummus were also left behind, confirming that the flavored hummus debate hasn’t been settled.

Vegan and plant-based can be seen in proportions that appear recently stocked.

In my area meat is starting to get back to normal but is still limited selections of certain varieties, the most common items seem To be reliably have at least a limited stock. In talking with an employee, the issue isn’t not enough food in the supply chain or at the warehouse, but not enough employees at the warehouse is to pick and load trailers to deliver, they have plenty employees in the store at the time to unload the trucks but the warehouses don’t have enough employees to ship all the needed items. They said the paperwork is showing that they ordered, say 120 cases but only received 30 or Or so cases Are coming in, the other ones are showing as canceled by the warehouse due to time constraints.

Indeed. The initial rush is over, and the stores have been resupplied.

Except for TP, it seems.

Dasani is just filtered tapwater, bottled from the same stuff that the nearest bottling facility users for the cans or 2 L bottles of Coke, Sprite, etc. Nothing wrong with it you’re just paying for filtered city water.

How do you cook Tilapia? My cooking turns out watery Tilapia, but the salmon comes out perfect. I wrap it in aluminum foil with salt, spices, drops of lemon juice and teaspoon of butter. Then place it on a hot iron plate. Salmon comes out flaky, dry and nice. Tilapia is watery and not solidly flaky.

It is still very hard to find any paper goods in my area, I can usually find Some sort of napkins fairly reliably and paper towels to a lesser extent but toilet paper and tissues are still in very limited supply

Tilapia is the junk food of fish. Very little nutritional value.

I have found that to be the case too. Even though customers are limited as to how many rolls they can but, the supplies are really low.

One would think the pandemic is gastrointestinal, rather than respiratory, based upon the run on toilet paper.
