Probably universal “Obama phones” that everyone was required to have. CCP controlled.

There could be an innocuous reason for it, I guess. Is China already implementing 5G domestically? Maybe the phones were incompatible.

It would require some evidence either way.

here is an interesting story..it seems the guy is worried about the Constitutionality of it....so just bring the lazy people back to DC to vote

I read somewhere that the phones themselves were free. Ie everybody could have one. They just paid for their minutes/bandwidth/etc.
