and the first major prize up is a 11,000 dollar trip to Beijing, China. LMAO

They jacked up all combo prices 50 cents - $1. Real bad time to raise prices, obviously.
Their costs have no doubt gone up. Additional staff, extra cleanings, fees to delivery services, etc.

At least they stopped running the commercial where Tony Romo was calling people to get their March Madness picks on behalf of Corona Beer.

It was like last year when Wheel Of Fortune was giving away Caribbean vacations right after Hurricane Dorian devastated The Bahamas.

I wondered that myself yesterday. Esp with all the hugging and whatnot that goes on during the show. (and the add a dollar thing drives me crazy)

That is funny, especially setting the scene for us...eating cheerios, on lockdown, watching and then...bahahaha!
Thanks for the laugh.

To qualify for cheap postal rates, these promotions have to be paid for 3 weeks or more in advance. Shame on postal service for carrying out the contract.

Yeah, it’s still on.
I’ve only slightly warmed to Drew Carey. I miss Bob Barker.
I might have to watch tomorrow... to see if they offer up a trip to Italy.

Ha! For that matter, any of those daily game shows.
Wheel of Fortune: For years a prize winner would be one given a trip and lodging to the fabulous city of San Francisco. Imagine that winner in today’s world. On the other hand $11 K is 11K and at one time, a very nice nest egg.

Watching it? 8>)
I suspect most of us do. After Bob Barker though I lost interest. Never saw the original host, Bill Cullen.
I watched the first item a midget king I believe it was called:

As I understand it, law says that winners in game shows must be offered either the prize, or the cash value of the prize. As I recall, the issue pushing the law was that prizes are taxed as simple income, just like lottery prizes.

If Bob Barker is it, I’d say about 12 years in advance.
