It’s not really the physicians, it’s likely the government that is holding up supplies.
Plaquenil is used for chronic conditions such as RA. I can’t see why doctors wouldn’t prescribe if a patient is CoV positive with symptoms. As long as patients know and accept risks, fine.
The other curious thing is why we don’t have masks. Again, government is holding up production IMO.
We do know that the CDC delayed testing by requiring initial test to be sent to Atlanta. This has cost lives by allowing CoV to spread and reduced the chance to do more contact tracing.
Now, the Gestapo thugs such as Barr want to suspend constitutional rights and arrest people w/o charge. I think that we can connect enough dots that the Deep state actors are not going to let this crisis go to waste.
Enough dots to follow? Yes, CoV is a real crisis and very serious, but government will seek to make it worse and exploit it nonetheless.
I’ll add points you know the Dr.’s have it, are using it, and if he doesn’t give it to you you’re going to go out and get it yourself.

Scott says you should look your doctor in the eyes and ask him if he would use the drug if he got symptoms, etc and negotiate to get the drug. It is likely you won’t be looking your doctor in the eyes if you have the symptoms. You will call in and they will give you instructions on what to do. Doctors are inundated right now. You may or may not even get to talk to him until you are a confirmed case.
Nevertheless I guess you can make your case over the phone to whomever.

Honestly, unless you have a very long and trusted relationship with your primary care physician... or you’re on the same wealth curve Scott is... this is not the simplest of feats.
When the results of the usage of this med come in by the end of the week from NY and NYC, we will know how well it works.
But here is the question..if it assists a percent of those taking by helping them get over this severe cold, will it be deemed worth it? If say, even 1 per cent?
If it gives that particular person infected a ray of hope, is it worth it?
Anyone who says no can go...
