You have assigned yourself an awful lot of work!

W00t!

Iknowhuh?

I see Dover has a book of the Mayflower, to be cut out and assembled. If I had the money, I’d get that to give to James and Abbie to assuage their anxiety about the genealogy!

Not really. It’s what I did before I got really sick and depressed on top of it. That period of down time has cost me, but I’ll get it done. It may take a while, but I’ll do it.

The Dragon software will help it immensely.

I saw the Mayflower, too. Maybe you could do a nice graphic of a section of the genealogy that’s either genetically near them or historically interesting, and you could put it in a document frame.

I’ll just print up the Mayflower history and give it to them. It is, after all, part of our heritage, being descendants of John Howland. He’s the one who got washed overboard in a storm and when his arm was caught in the rigging when the ship wallowed, lusty John was brought back aboard.

The Mayflower Compact is in there, as well.

That’s one of four copies. I have a stack of things that need to be printed in multiple copies for each of the genealogy sets that either have been printed or will be. New Nephew Bill and his wife put a lot of pressure on me, and as a result, they got a half-baked job. And I still have copies to make for others more closely related.

My thoughts were just to make their anniversary a little better because so far, no children have made an entrance.

I took a nap with Jake instead of watching “Lawrence of Arabia.”

I woke up a little after midnight, and after lying there for the better part of an hour, I finally said “bunk it,” and got up. Maybe I’ll take a nap a little later but right now, I’m going to write a letter to my Favorite Son and then get to work on making copies.

I know it’s early where you live, but good morning.

Awww...What a sweet little floofy thing.

And here I am again. Nothing much got done but putting on my morning face, writing the letter and checking my mail, and in a bit, I’ll sort through the stuff I’ve isolated and begin to make copies. It was a shorter stack.

The genealogy will take a little more preparation because I have to indicate the merging of three families to reflect two children. Birth names vs. adoption names. Long story short, he adopted mine and I adopted his. I need to get a copy of the adoption papers for each of them, but his is most important of the two, due to specific genealogical requirements. I just haven’t been able to squeeze out the $30 for it.

Anyway, the copying of some items of genealogy is most important today. So that’s next.

After that, I’ll take a break. Maybe I’ll even practice with the Dragon, since I cleverly devised some covers for the headset “ears” so they don’t slide down my face. I liked the kind I had at work that just used one ear, but this will do. Who knows, I may be able to actually get a page or two dictated.

Sounds like you have a busy day planned. I’m going out for an exertion after breakfast, and then Asuncion is coming over to practice for tomorrow. Then I don’t know what, but we’re expecting Tom the Son to come to supper; he’s off work today.

I’ve re-sorted the files I sorted yesterday and it’s like I said then, I almost wish the trip to CO wasn’t a thing. Once I get started on this stuff it’s terribly addictive.

So now, I’m copying some emails that were sent to me when I was in Del Rio, in 2002, because they’re so cluttered with code, some of them. Not to mention that back then, all I could do was screen print, so I got all the ads and the headers.

Only seven more pages to go!! ERK!

They are extremely important and need to be cleaned up, copied and added to whatever else I’ve already sent to people, as well as add it to the next batches I still have to print up for more people. I think the total is three more. Unless some other family member contacts me.

Nothing else will get done today than these emails.

Are you back to having “real” church, again? We’re not, yet. And of course, people are screaming that there is an upsurge of cases of the WuFlu and my response is that if there hadn’t been a quarantine, it would have been over and done with by now, with no loss to the economy.

I’m glad Tom the Son is coming to supper. There’s nothing like a home-cooked meal! She says. ;o]

It’s partial church, limited attendance, masks, etc. Only two of us are allowed to sing, so it’s Asuncion and me until Whenever.

We have limited attendance, as well, but we have to sit six feet apart unless we’re a family, so I’m opting not to go.

The October Conference this year will be virtual only, and I’m really hoping this is all over and done with by April of 2021.

In other news, I’m done working for the day, because my back was hurting in the “typing” position. It’s one thing to type a post but to transcribe something requires attention and dedication to the job at hand. Since I was up early, and took the morphine when I got up, it’s wearing off and I still have another hour to go before I can take another. So I’m not going to push it.
