Well. The books are put up and one section of the room is somewhat neater, though it was a bit like Tetris. However, since I held the title of Tetris Queen at one time, it was just a matter of finding the right-shaped holes for the books to fit.
So two jobs down (three, including yesterday’s little “moving adventures”) and I feel a little better about leaving.

Congratulations on the Accomplishments. I’ve just been puttering.
I’m worn out. I was getting tired early on, but didn’t want to quit because I was afraid I wouldn’t want to get back to it tomorrow morning.
I found the most beautiful headboard (looks like Chippendale) this morning, by the Dumpster, but the guy who used to own it said someone else had asked for it and if they didn’t take it, I could have it. Bad thing is there are no rails for it. I would like to have it so I can get out of bed without having to pull myself up. So, I’ll see what tomorrow morning brings, and if it’s still there, I’ll bring it in and think about getting the rails when I get back.
I don’t want to dip into my trip stash but that’s been really hard. Anyway, it may be moot tomorrow, as I may not have to worry about rails.
Tomorrow, I’ll try to finish the filing, and if I still have a bit of energy, I may move the printer from the right side of my desk to the left. I want to hang a sheer swag over the curtain panels and this will give me an excuse to do so.
Then all I have to do is wait for Nephew and his wife to come and get the bookcase and secretary and it will be done until the time for me to move.
Oh, yes. I went to the library today and found a lonely little bookmark...
Now I feel really unmotivated, with you getting all this stuff done!
Our neighborhood has “bulk waste pickup” next Tuesday, and there are already people putting household goods on the curb. We usually do it the day before because it’s bad when stuff gets rained on.

I read something helpful this week. The conversants wouldn’t be a “fit” on these forums, but the piece doesn’t get political, so it’s very bearable; especially if you find any of the substance of it personally relevant.

I am a slug. Yes, I overdid it yesterday, but today, there has been a change of plan. I have to get the genealogy papers sorted and get to work updating it so I can get it ready for James and Abbie for their wedding anniversary. I won’t be here when it happens but I want to be able to give it to them before I leave. The alternative is to miss their 2nd anniversary. They are such a cute couple!!
So today will be quieter. Now, I have to go take a shower to I can write to Charlie. This kind of weather, I miss sitting with him in the gazebo that no longer has a roof to protect us from the rain.
