I’m sure there must be a Tolerably Competent Lawn Service out there somewhere.

It’s a gloomy day here. I’m thinking of going back to bed with my e-book.

Evidently this lawn service has been doing this property for a lot of years. It just seems to be in the last year that the actual quality has decreased. I take that to mean there are newer employees who feel the need to take shortcuts.

Since this is a senior community, shortcuts should not be taken, since we’re susceptible to falls and things that can cause owies.

People keep saying it’s going to clear up later, but I’m losing interest. DP went to Publix. He gets antsy at home.

I used to know several people who were like that — antsy, staying at home. Thank goodness they’re no longer parts of my life!!

Jake and I had a nice lie-down. He’s grown so fat that he hesitates to jump up on the bed! He drooled on my arm, and I broke out in a rash.

That’s good. And now, I’m off for the day. The Dismally Inept Lawn Service has finally left us, and I need to find my way down the hall. As soon as I bring in the flag.

I’m going to have a cup of tea, after going upstairs to shut the windows. The a/c has come on. Jake is trying to get Vlad to give him a sandwich.

Good morning.

Did you sleep well last night? I didn’t tell you that I went for a walk yesterday. Seven minutes, 45 seconds. I’ll try again tomorrow. The streets here are really weird, so unless I find a specific spot, I can’t walk around the block and increase from there. I’ll have to consult my trusty paper map.

I also didn’t tell you that I actually cleaned the bathroom on Saturday. Usually, I just give it a once-over but this time, I cleaned it. YAY, me!

This is one of those days when my brain is scattered like buckshot. I started this post 30 minutes ago or more.

Some brothers are cleaning bathrooms here. They were late getting up this morning. Patrick tried to get us to believe that he didn’t know he was expected to get up when called, but that didn’t fly.

Patrick has lived with you 18 years and didn’t know he was supposed to get up when called? Ah. Yes. The “18th Year Exemption” clause in his natal contract. Got it.

I’m going to take my pills and then head for Walmart so I can get back before 0700.

I hope everyone enjoyed Veteran’s Day. We had dinner with the in-laws.

We didn’t do much yesterday. It was threatening rain most of the day, although it didn’t storm.

We found it interesting that it was 80 degrees yesterday. Three weeks before we had snow.

That’s upstate New York, I guess.

We’ve had days that hovered at about 70° and nights in the low 40’s and tomorrow, we’re supposed to hit 101°! I’ll be in bed, but maybe I can sit outside under the pine tree and soak up some warmth.

Memorial Day was sad, but I got over it. Again.

Jake had an accident in Kathleen’s bedroom. *sigh*

Oh, dear. Poor Jake! I hope it wasn’t too difficult to clean up. Spew is one thing but “accident” is something else.
