Yup - my wife noticed the same, I told her not to proceed - we'd do the paper version. They only need to know how many folks in my household.
Living in "Nuevo Mexico", the Northern Mexico suburb with an all dem state gubbmint, I can guarantee you who outnumbers who.
If only they had started listing every person by name, age and place of birth starting in 1790. Even if they had started in 1840 that would have helped.
That’s right. I believe actual census information began somewhere in the mid-1800s, but was pretty useless until after the War Between the States. Prior to the War, it was the head of the household’s name, how many people in the household were there & how many slaves he/she had.
Eventually, a real person will come to your door and ask for the completed form
You can refuse but then you will be contacted by phone and others on the ground.
They will not stop till they get the data
I refused telling them I would not provide data for a study by the corrupt Obama administration. Finally, a guy in Atlanta would call and ask me if I would give him the data.
When President Trump got in office he called me and told me there was a new president and would I please tell him what they wanted to know.

Will the Census count illegal aliens? If so, those who administer that census have abdicated their responsibility under the Constitution, and I feel no obligation to cooperate.

The Census counts everyone, but you already knew that. The first Census was taken in 1790. They counted free men and women, including foreign nationals. They also counted slaves, who were not U.S. Citizens. When did you decide that the census should only count citizens?
I don’t really care whether the Census used to count pet guinea pigs. My point now is that it is using millions of criminals to apportion representation. You may think that’s acceptable, but I do not. I don’t think the Founders intended that, either.
Do what I do. Answer only the question that indicates the number of people in your household. They may badger you for more info. Ignore them or refuse.

That’s a different issue and on that point I agree with you. Illegal immigrants are just that, they are breaking the law and should be deported or jailed. IMO opinion, we are in that mess because groups of people believe that it’s to their advantage to refuse enforce the law. And they are not just Democrat politicians, business owners who want cheap labor and Republican politicians who are willing to pander to them are also ignoring the law. Bad things happen when people just decide to ignore the law.
It’s not a different issue at all. The Census is being misused by counting many millions of criminals, and I’m under no obligation to go along with that.
