Yesterday's thread here:
http://freerepublic.com/focus/chat/3827099/posts?page=1
started with two cases, 11 Mar, one a govt minister, returning from travel and a second, Swiss, tourist on an atoll. On 23 Mar, 23+ cases. Jan 29th story about 300 Chinese tourists in the country. Shut down cruises seeking port about 10 days ago. Did the two infected cause the 23? or?

Socialism SUCKS!!
My freezer definitely needs defrosting. But its full of stuff! And its going to be 70 to 80 degrees down here in Atlanta in the coming days.
Any tips out there about defrosting the freezer without losing all the frozen food?
A fever is considered anything over 100.4 tho
I have some that’s even older. Not throwing it out, now!!
I did open a jar, a couple of months ago, and it tasted great :)
Big covid survey in Seattle area.
Mail swabs to a bunch of people, they mail them back.
Certainly cheaper than serologicl testing.
Ice chests?
Other freezers?
Throw out any freezer burned stuff???
There was an old chest freezer in our basement (probably 70s vintage). I fired it up the other day and (fingers crossed) it still works. I put my water, bread and a few other things I don’t mind losing if the thing craps out. That opened up room in my newer freezer.
While transferring stuff I found some blueberry pancakes I made last July, a tray of last Thanksgiving’s lasagna and a few other hidden gems. Going to use them up first.
Thank you.
There will probably be some spectacular dying in public scenes...and then we will stop again....

How an Upscale Connecticut Party Became a Coronavirus ‘Super Spreader’
About 50 guests gathered on March 5 at a home in the stately suburb of Westport, Conn., to toast the hostess on her 40th birthday and greet old friends, including one visiting from South Africa..
...The partygoers more than half of whom are now infected left that evening for Johannesburg, New York City and other parts of Connecticut and the United States, all seeding infections on the way...
Westport, a town of 28,000 on the Long Island Sound, did not have a single known case of the coronavirus on the day of the party. It had 85 on Monday, up more than 40-fold in 11 days.
here is the clip of the feuding cuomo’s . just started watching and already laughed at Fredo’s response when big brother says “Mom told me i had to”

The coronavirus claims two Georgia health care workers
A 48-year-old woman who worked at Donalsonville Hospital in southwestern Georgia tested positive for COVID-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus, and died Thursday at a hospital in Tallahassee, Florida.
The same day, a mammogram technician at Piedmont Newnan Hospital was found dead in her Coweta County home. Laboratory tests confirmed the woman had COVID-19, Coweta County Coroner Richard Hawk said. The woman, 42, had been dead 12 to 16 hours when the police, checking on her welfare, discovered her body, Hawk said.
Her child, apparently 4 or 5 years old, was in the home at the time.

Thanks, Jane.
I do have ice chests. Ill build up enough ice in the other freezer and give it a try!
I am so grateful that we bought our huge chest freezer back in the fall.
I NEVER even considered a scenario like this and honestly, I did not expect to hear about a run on freezers, although it does make a LOT of sense.
That also explains why so many places are running so low on meat yet. People who have freezers are stocking up.

TSA Agents in Multiple Airports Test Positive for Coronavirus
Of the 23 infected officers, five were stationed at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in New York.
Norman Y. Mineta San Jose International Airport (SJC) and Orlando International Airport (MCO) each had four confirmed cases.
Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL), Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) and Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) each confirmed two cases.
Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE), Cyril E. King International Airport (STT), LaGuardia Airport (LGA) and Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) each had one officer test positive for COVID-19.
All but one of the officers are employed as screening officers; the other is a baggage handler at EWR. As of March 23, all but five had been present for work within the last two weeks.
