Thanks so much for your data!
Are you guys talking financial or pathogenic? I’m with Denninger’s analysis on this, the old and the co-morbidity laden should be (or have been) isolated for this and keep the economy running. If the economy comes apart it won’t matter how many beds or ventilators there are...(Plus in the case of the latter they’re next to worthless).
129 members of the NYPD have tested positive for COVID-19, a senior law enforcement official says.
As we reported last week, NYC Health guidance is that there will be no quarantines for first responders that are exposed to COVID-19. If they are sick they stay home.

It looks like “burn through” is the strategy for NYC first responders....
Does anyone know who the member of WH Press Corps is who is down with CoVid 19?
It’s someone who was at the briefings on March 9, 11, 16 and18.
That was before they started the social distancing.
I am not an advocate of the option.
I’m just saying it’s an alternative to endless shutdown. Even though endless shutdown is not on the table anywhere.
It’s the extreme opposite of endless shutdown.
Between these two extreme points is the gray zone of what the nation will eventually compromise on. And that is as yet undetermined.
Part of the compromise will be to allow some level of infection until a vaccine is produced.
While I understand some peoples immune system overreacts to an invader, be it virus or bacteria, attacking their body. That is an overreaction by that person's immune system. Their immune system could be healthy or compromised for that to occur. At this point in time what causes this is not fully understood, and this happens in a very small percentage of people. Immunity will however, go through several steps to protect your body from invading viruses and bacteria, including this virus. We already have proof of this with 101,186 or 27.1% of confirmed cases so far worldwide. When your system fails to combat an invader, scientists who study these things work to develop something that will help in combating the invading entity.
Now show me where hysteria and panic ever solved a virus or bacteria. In fact just show me an instance where it has helped and not hurt more than the virus or bacteria itself.
I am not here giving my advice regarding this virus, like everyone else, I know no more than do they. I am here trying to combat this unwarranted hysteria and panic regarding this virus. For we can all see the collateral damage it is doing to the financial well being of this country, as well as, other countries. We are now into the 5th month, according to many sources, since determination has been made that it started in November, not December of 2019.
So looking at flu & CoVid side-by-side gives us some insight since they have been at work for about the same length of time now.
My comparison to the flu is not to show how this virus will react. I do it to show that so far it has been less infectious and less fatal than the flu. While the flu season is October thru May, most cases are contracted from December through April, and those are the most destructive months as well. Yet there is no hysteria and panic being generated over the flu, even though it has shown so far to be more infectious and deadly than the CoVid-19 virus.
But I want you to really show me where hysteria and panic has ever helped any situation, not just viral or bacterial situations.
You all really need to calm down, because you are helping the situation in no way whatsoever. In fact you are causing other problems that will have negative affects on those infected, as well as, those who will never become infected, or at least will never exhibit signs of their being infected.
Now am I wrong in trying to do what I am trying to do? I am not telling you to ignore this virus, I am trying to put perspective to it in relation to the flu to calm hysteria and panic. If you want to fault me for that, then so be it. But you are bringing nothing, nada, nichts, zip, useful to this problem. The best thing you can do is stop with the hysteria and panic. If that is too much for you, then I really feel sorry for you and your selfish behavior.
Boris was considering that for a while for Britain and he finally went the other way.
It would be an interesting test.
(Personally I think the younger folks would overwhelm the health care system anyway, but I am not opposed to experimentation...)
birx sounds ok at the moment...
The ancient Chinese curse may you live in interesting times is happening before our eyes and was brought on by those doing the wishing.
Fauci hasn’t been there since he balked at the malaria drug.
Birx: 28% of tests process in NY area are positive.
Estimate is 1/1000 are infected.
Supposedly, the OAN reporter lost his/her seat. Don’t know if it was OAN or if they got the boot due to less seats.
I trust anyone with a pre 2000 FR join date. :-)
In fact someone else explained it enough that I caught on very quickly. Just admit, you are just a scared little lemming that will follow other hysterical people over the cliff. You should feel ashamed that you are so easily scared. Still sleep with your light on? Mommy still tuck you in at night?
See I can be condescending & derogatory too, it's so easy even you can do it. Apparently that is all yo can do. What you can't do is debate me with facts, because you have no facts, and that is my point. No one has the facts yet. But here is a fact for you, hysteria and panic never solved anything, let alone a virus. But facts, like math, are really hard for you aren't they.
The American Hospital Association conducts an annual survey of hospitals in the United States. If general ICU can be used/re-purposed for CV, it looks like there are around 45,000+ ICU beds (as of 2018)? Am I reading this wrong?

IDK, I just knew the general structure and subsequently found a piece on it’s potential anticancer use.
It was injectable as described there. The product you linked is pretty expensive, and probably relatively weak. I’d think if you ate a lot of it, you’d get close to or the same level of benefit.
Providing each other with information that applies to this virus is not panicking. Hell, I prepped over 6 weeks ago, and dont give a flying f_ck if anyone else does. Likewise, I dont care if anyone social distances, but if someone gets too close to me Ill start a coughing fit (thanks Rummy Chick).
We all want this to be just the flu, bro. I want it to be finished yesterday. My mom is mid 70s with huge underlying comorbidity issues, my wife is Chinese, my in laws are in China, my stepson is in NYC. Im a trucker who is out among the FluBros every day with their total lack of concern for anyone except their wallet.
None of us in here are panicking - we went thru that phase long ago. Its those who are new to this thread that are horrified at our attitude. Welcome to the party, pal.
