Days after a resident at St. James Place was hospitalized after contracting the new coronavirus, management at the Baton Rouge retirement community said Sunday an employee has also tested positive for the respiratory illness it causes.
...
St. James Place leaders said Sunday they’ve been trying to identify residents and others who may have come into contact with the employee or the resident.

Try running an economy with major hospitals overflowing, doctors and nurses forced to stop treating some because they cant help all, and every moment of gut-wrenching medical chaos being played out in our living rooms, on TV, on social media, and shown all around the world.

Oh oh, when Lindsey Graham agrees with me, I know it is time to change sides.
I am now an official flu bro. ;-)

The many problems and exposures to catching the monster from your one paragraph:
1) Do you stay in the car when she heads in to work?
2) Do you stay in the car when she goes in for a blood draw?
3) Why can’t you have the prescription delivered to the house?
4) Why did you both have to go inside Walmart yesterday?
5) Walmart has more than one entrance.
6) You should have called ahead to verify new hours of the pharmacy.
7) Since you’e already driving around taking her to work, why can’t you pick up her meds without her and before closing time?

Im just going by the comments on the tweet that said this was the line for testing, not patients waiting to be seen in the ER.
But as one comment said If you didnt have Covid-19 when you joined that line, you will most likely by the the time youre done.
This is insanity...They should just assume they have it and stay at home until they cant anymore and need help. Maybe Teledoc for prescriptions if they can get it,.
Yep. Except for the Teledoc & Rxs. I dont think it is wise to give people the anti-malarial drug if thats what you are talking about unless they tested positive and can be monitored for side effects and efficacy. As for Teledoc, Im not sure how many people have access to that and think it is driven by what insurance you have and there may also be people, most poor or elderly who dont have access to the technology to make that happen. For instance my older brother and SIL are on medicare and I don't think (could be wrong) that telemedicine is covered (I do recall that was being talked about though)and if my tech impaired SIL depended on telemedicine, she'd likely die before she figured out how to use it.
I’m weak. Muted him and watched Dr. Campbell’s latest. Much more informative and didn’t raise the bp.
Walmart knows if they don’t have a drive up pharmacy window, they can get people to come inside and buy something else. It’s all about the $$$. If this virus hangs around much longer (and it will) I’m going to suggest to hubby he move his meds to anywhere that has a window. Saving a few pennies at WM isn’t worth catching CV.
Good idea.
trump supposedly lifted the teledoc ban for medicare
i am not keen on taking these “miracle drugs” right now unless in bad shape until more is known.
i want a natural method to deliver zinc into the cells..like quercetin or whatever else
Then bring in Mike and threaten flubros to stay in or lose their ears.
I can’t find any reference to them being related. Mike had two older siblings but no mention of any younger ones. Not to say daddy didn’t get around.
I really didn't want to accompany her to the pharmacy yesterday. I won't do it today. Walmart pharmacy has never been closed on Sunday in the 20 years we have lived here.
We shop at the Walmart often. The entrance selected is 60 feet from the pharmacy.
Her meds require ID and her healthcare cards. It's getting harder to find the pharmacy open. I have to interrupt my work day to accommodate transport. It's the new normal. Adding COVID-19 has just made it more complex.
These days, you have to check new closing hours everywhere.
Walmart will need to open a window before they lose their pharmacy customers. We originally moved ours to WM because CVS would have a 45 minute wait with just one car ahead waiting. It may be time to move it back and no telling how long the wait time would be today.
Given national (by country) differences in definitions of CV deaths, the only CV statistics we can trust at this point are American.
Certainly I don't trust the Chinese, NK, or Iranian numbers at all. And I've even found the US numbers vary quite a bit - so yes, what you've stated is a big factor, and must be taken into consideration when looking to these tables and plots for information.
I look for ways of validating numbers. It’s why #94 caught my eye. I’ve been noticing a drop in Italy’s numbers, besides the fact that it’s really good news for those in Italy, if the decline holds true.
RC, you got a source for that bit of good news?
