Would like to see more testing of elderly, more protection for them.
But it’s a good plan. The young wouldn’t isolate anyway.
We intend to just stay at home for at least 30 days. It’s not really a big change. We usually get milk and perishables once a week, order some stuff on line once a month. Fresh milk is the only thing we’ll miss.
We always have enough in our pantry and freezer to last for several months. And we don’t usually go out during Jan. and Feb. Sometimes we order pizza, but not doing that either.
No one needed to order us to stay home—we had no intentions of going out. We did have some delayed delivery on some on line purchases. Hubby has finally agreed to leave the boxes outside to be sprayed with bleach solution.
I experienced inability to breath a couple of times as a reaction to medication. I never ever want to experience that again. So maybe I take it too seriously—but I don’t really think so.
Our grand daughter called yesterday to make sure we were ok and staying home. She said she told her hubby that she was pretty sure I’d have it all planned out and be well-stocked with food and meds.

I question it, but still do it once a week. If I’m going inside a store I wear a mask, goggles and gloves. I am not “afraid” - but I take it seriously.
My view of ordering takeout is that the exposure of the food/packaging is limited to one or two people cooking it and bringing it out to the car.
I try to only order hot food (cooked food is hot enough to destroy the virus), although tonight’s dinner came with a salad.
Our weekly “night-out” is now take out at small local restaurants to try to help them out.
I view my typical precautions as wearing a seat belt. I don’t put on my seat belt because I’m afraid - I just use it to be prudent. In my mind (and I might be wrong) but the one night of take out is comparable to driving down the block to our neighbor’s house without buckling up.
