Either the hospitals are getting a deluge or they aren't. The death rate doesn't change that.

Again, not relevant. These cases are hitting they hospital or they aren't. Number of tests doesn't change that.
A lot of these people are not in good shape. Obesity, terribly unhealthy diet, asthma. The city housing projects have many residents in the population most at risk. I would not be surprised to see a fatality rate rise and a hospitalization rate increase dramatically.
There’s a heavy taint of politics involved, no doubt. However, if you were in my demographic, you would be doing whatever you could to avoid catching this China virus.

I know with the shortage of masks, the CDC issued a protocol for reusing masks. “Slathered with hand sanitizer” sounds like a stretch.
How many are illegals taking a bed?
And presumably they are hitting the hospitals because of worrying symptoms.
There are actually three levels - how many showing up with symptoms that require test and triage.
How many require admission.
How many require ICU.
