Pennsylvania Planned Parenthood Defies Order to Stop Elective Procedures, Still Killing Babies in Abortions

Planned Parenthood and other abortion businesses in Pennsylvania are still open and still doing abortions – despite new regulations prohibiting elective procedures.

On Thursday, March 19, the Governor ordered all ambulatory surgical facilities to prohibit any elective procedures as part of his new executive government mandate on closures due to the COVID-19 mitigation plan.

“I called Planned Parenthood today and was told that they are still performing elective abortions – both chemical and surgical – despite the COVID-19 crisis,” said Emily Kreps with the PA Family Institute. “It’s business as usual for the largest abortion provider in the state despite facilities like them stopping other elective procedures.”

Abortion clinics, like Planned Parenthood, are regulated as ambulatory surgical centers thanks to a state law passed in 2011 in the wake of the uncoverings at the Kermit Gosnell “House of Horrors” abortion clinic in Philadelphia. This regulation includes mandatory health inspections, of which over half of Planned Parenthood’s abortion clinics in PA failed at least one inspection in 2019.

“Surgical abortion facilities will be using gowns, gloves, masks, suction tubing – all of which are crucial supplies during the #COVID19 pandemic,” said the American Association of Pro Life OBGYNs on Twitter. “They should not be wasted on elective procedures like abortion.”

Governor Wolf states that enforcement actions of his executive order on closures begins Saturday, March 21, and could include citations, fines & license suspensions. It’s also worth noting that Governor Wolf is a former Planned Parenthood escort who is currently trying to force taxpayers to fund their operations to the tune of $3 million.

“You may have seen the meme on social media saying, ‘If COVID-19 forces Planned Parenthood to be closed for two weeks, the virus will have SAVED more lives than it has taken,’ added Kreps. “If we’re concerned about ‘life-sustaining businesses’ in Pennsylvania, that should not include Planned Parenthood, who are responsible for aborting 15,000 babies every year in our state.”

The team at Pennsylvania Family Institute will be continuing to monitor this story and will post developments as they become available.

Must get those babies safely killed and some of their moms, too, in order to keep them from getting that horrible virus!

I was diagnosed with Lyme Disease in August. During my last follow up visit with my PCP, in Sept., I made an appointment, that was 6 months ago for this Monday. I have a few questions and concerns and was looking forward to this visit.

I called today to see if they wanted me to re-schedule and yes they did my new appointment is May 26.

I get it they want to free up resources. But Governor Wolfe would, if he could, shut down every last business in the state. Every business except the abortion business. He is, to be quite blunt, a horses backside.
