The co-director of Stanford Universitys Meta-Research Innovation Center, John P.A. Ioannidis, wrote in an opinion piece this week a warning to Americans that participating in voluntary shutdowns and allowing the government to set curfews and manipulate the free market before dependable data collected could be a mistake. The professor of medicine, population health, statistics, biomedical data science, and epidemiology described the the current collection of data as utterly unreliable due to the inability to test everyone who had potentially been infected. Ioannidis said that coronavirus may be a once-in-a-century evidence fiasco.

We might have averted an overrun on hospital beds and staff, and we might have extended the life of the vulnerable a bit, but now the hand of government is considerably stronger, and we just added another trillion to the debt.
He needs to shelter in place because these are just the kind of guys we end up hearing about test Covid-19 positive in less than two weeks time.

I think Im hearing the collapse of the first pillars of our economy & nation. The DemocRATS and their Chinese allies cant believe their good fortune.

Pretty much he has been saying what a lot of people are saying, the lack of consistent testing screwed everything up.
Testing and compliance are whats working in Korea and Japan.
Bad testing and non compliance is whats hurting Italy.
They US is more like Italy than the other two.
I agree, that is a valid concern.
the biggest question this guy had was "when do the govt entities relax all the restrictions" and I am sooo afraid that its going to be a long time....once they have power, they will not reliquish it.....
Not to mention other minor irritants like retirement savings decimated, unemployment jumping to 20%, and house values about to go into free fall followed by bank failures.
I just caught the Mark Levin show while I was out and he was talking about this. The prof is right.
Biomerica has a ten minute test for the virus which does not need a laboratory setting to test. $10. They are shipping it overseas but have not yet gotten emergency approval to use it here.

Testing should have started from “day one”everything else as data can’t be compared. CDC should have been on top of this.

No doubt they are working for said cure for free markets.
My brother in Bakersfield is telling me things are getting dicey with authorities even there, because of state pressure.
