Unfortunately, this is what happened in Italy, folks from the North went to the South of the country, and now the south of the country is starting to see their number of cases jumping.

And their medical facilities are not nearly as good as facilities in the north of the country.

DHEC Announces 45 Additional Cases of 2019 Novel Coronavirus in South Carolina

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
March 20, 2020

COLUMBIA, S.C. — The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) is investigating 45 additional cases of the COVID-19 novel coronavirus. This brings the total number statewide to 125 cases in 25 counties.
“The public needs to take our recommendations to prevent spread seriously so we can best protect our family, friends and neighbors,” said Dr. Linda Bell, State Epidemiologist. “Unfortunately, these case numbers will continue to increase. The agency is working around the clock to prevent the spread of this disease, focusing on those who are most high-risk for experiencing severe illness from the disease. I’d like to remind all South Carolinians that we all have a responsibility to take the recommended steps for limiting spread.”
