WASHINGTON - Stacey Abrams would be the strongest running mate for Joe Biden in the November election against President Donald Trump, according to an analysis by a progressive think tank.
Way to Win, a women-led network of deep-pocketed donors, commissioned Data for Progress to look into potential vice presidential picks after Super Tuesday, when Biden ran up an imposing delegate lead over Sen. Bernie Sanders.
The think tank, whose polls of presidential primary contests this year have been highly regarded for their accuracy, conducted an online survey of 4,998 likely voters across the country on March 12 to gauge how potential Democratic tickets would fare against Trump and Vice President Mike Pence.
The group tested five buzzed-about potential options: Abrams and Sens. Kamala Harris of California, Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts, Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota and Cory Booker of New Jersey (Biden has since committed to picking a woman).

I do not see her bringing in the black male vote.
People will look at Biden and say - OK he ain’t Trump, but he gaffs and is not mentally sharp, so who is next in line, OMG no not her.
She won’t bring black males into vote
“Other than being black and woman, what qualifications does she have?”
The three standard qualifications that I’ve noticed...
1...loudmouth
2...black
3...woman
Another characteristic...though not a qualification...that I add just before number “1” above...
“...another...”
The gravitational pull of the moon causes tides in the Earth's oceans. So yes, her gravitational pull certainly could move Georgia to the left.
except for one thing.
Voting for Biden is a vote for his VP for president.
Biden is unwell.
His VP will be President.
Suburban women often have experience dealing with elderly relatives with dementia. And they’re really going to dig Stacey Abrams as a backup? I’m not seeing it.
That group might not vote for Trump, but if they stay home, that’s a real hit for the Democrats.
What does “Remeber” mean?
.....for Republicans
Cut out the good choices and go for excellence....Sheila Jackson Lee.
Also, the right running-mate can give a candidate more room to maneuver and get around difficulties. If your running mate strongly appeals to part of your base or to swing voters, it gives you security. Bill Clinton did the counter-intuitive thing: he deliberately didn't balance the ticket by picking Al Gore. With two fortyish Southern White guys on the ticket, the Democrats looked safe to voters who might have rejected them.
Those were the exceptions, though. In general, you're right. First, because elections are decided based on the economy and other real world considerations. Second, because people's impression of the candidate who goes on to lose may be too strong for anything to change. Third, because the VP candidates are often so weak and so colorless and not even really popular enough in their own states to change voters minds.
Is she a lesbian too?
Please choose her...
Yes, she’s a Lesbian. Another diversity check box filled in.
Michael Strahan was one hell of a defensive lineman.
He has no business being Vice President.
If Biden makes this pick with his age and mental decline, well it shows he’s not serious about being President. Which is a moot point, since Trump is going to kick his ass this Nov. no matter who he picks.
