My favorite from that album is John Barleycorn.

:)

Did you ever manage to snag Slipstream or other videos?

The compilations full of stuff that didn’t make the albums were great, too.

Jack-A-Lynn is a great one.

I saw the Broadsword tour and later got a bootleg video of it off eBay.
Catfish Rising and Roots To Branches at Merriwether Pavilion.

The Temptations - Ball Of Confusion

I'm not sure if this is an end of the world song, but it's in the ballpark. It makes reverence to Eve of Destruction and makes it clear that the Temptations were against high taxes.

Make The World Go Away Eddie Arnold.

I always heard "Eddie Arnold" and always thought it was "Eddie Albert." The picture in my head did not fit the voice I heard. LOL!

If by Bread.

If the world should stop revolving, spinning slowly down to die, I'd spend the end with you, and when the world was through, then one by one the stars would all go out. Then, you and I would simply fly away.

They're also fans of the Beatles.

Yes I saw slipstream once, it’s out there on the net somewhere. I saw them 4 times in 70’s, the Thick as a Brick tour was my first. The Heavy Horses tour in 78 was my favorite. I saw them again once in the 90’s, that same Roots to Branches tour you saw.

My original post was to the first song in a list of songs that somehow has mutated!

Here is the link to the son itself.

If the Bombs Fall
Larry Norman

If the bombs fall, baby I love you,
If they end it all, baby I love you
Through it all, I want you to know I love you.
Silver raindrops falling from on high
While a dark red cloud fills up the sky,
I don't want our love to end this way.
What about the songs we haven't sung?
What about the things we haven't done.
What's the matter with this world today?
Well, If the bombs fall, baby I love you,
If they end it all, baby I love you
Through it all, I want you to know I love you.
You and I are still so very young,
And with love, the best is yet to come,
God has let me choose you - I don't wanna lose you.
Who can say tomorrow will find its way.
Who can say the sun will shine today.
Baby I adore you, that's why I'm living for you.
