And how many will even reopen when De Whiner allows them to resume normal operations?

Actually several of them might be ok, as long as people keep going for take-out, and the restaurant can save $$ not having a waitstaff, all they need is 2-3 cooks and 1-2 hostesses/cashiers.

That said, what happens when all these unemployed waitstaff start to go hungry? No work (no restaurant can afford to pay them, plus they get no tips for takeout, if they're the lucky one chosen to be the cashier), they're not getting paid, what happens when they have no $$ for food? Guess what, the majority of people in that group probably have almost nothing saved up (food or $$). They're gonna run out of money, and run out of food, fast. And that's something that easily drives folks to start committing crimes.

And that's just a single group of people (waiters). Now push that across every other business that requires constant patronage to stay afloat. You shut down your city/state for too long (which isn't very long, ironically), and a large portion of your populace is gonna start raiding the local grocery just for food. That's completely ignoring paying for utilities, rent, etc. But hey, at least the internet is 'free' for now!

We will see. The vast majority of first and second hand medical feedback I have heard has been the opposite. Little of that has been since Thursday, though when this situation greatly escalated.
