I’m meeting a friend for dinner tomorrow night in Maryland. He and his wife took a cruise last week.
A couple friends play in a classic rock band. We went to see them last night in a local pub. Large crowd. Many of us knew each other.
I was hoping you would answer my question as to what your wife the nurse was actually seeing, or medical information she was getting.
But it’s just that she’s feeling worried about elderly parents I guess.

Our choices seem to be:
1) Ignore it and watch our HCS collapse like in Wuhan and Italy. 1 in 15 cases dies in Italy. Who knows how many really died in Wuhan?
2) Engage in half measures so that enough people get sick to guarantee a win for the Dems in November. Plenty die, the economy suffers anyway and Trump gets blamed for the virus and the economy. No upside at all.
3) Take dramatic action and achieve an outcome better than the rest of the world, even if a few people complain that their freedoms have been temporarily curtailed. Win on lives saved and even possibly on the economy if things get back to normal faster for us than for others.
I’ll take number three. Terrible that any lives are lost, and it sucks that you can’t go to the buffet for dinner every day, but overall, I’ll trade your convenience for my wife and kids’ health any day of the week. Sorry if that upsets you. And if you think this is some kind of power grab to swipe all our rights once and for all, then I think you are a solipsistic fool. But if I am wrong, I’ll be out there on the street fighting beside you.
I trust President Trump to look out for us. If he fooled 60 million people so well that he could pull off your fascist conspiracy, well sucks to be us. I don’t see it, though.

They don’t take up ICU slots that my parents will likely need for this Non-Coronavirus issues.
In fact, that’s how our medical system is SUPPOSED to run - if someone needs an ICU slot, they get an ICU slot. Not happening in Italy these days.
Massachusetts closing all restaurants except for take-out,no dining in....and schools closed for 3 weeks.
actually in MA restaurants are fine up to 25 people.
