Regarding the amount of “deaths” when I first read that my eyebrows raised as yes, only some 40 odd people have died in Washington. But I will throw this out...say ten people died in that hospital and people usually do not die in the hospital for those health professionals, or at least not in that short of time. I could see how someone would be affected by the number of deaths, while numerically small, in relative terms for the nurses and doctors, a large number that they don’t see in a year.
What I found interesting was the triage....is it true? Meh...hard to say. Thinking about myself, I hope not, but if this particular hospital is having a lot of sub 60 patients that are having lung problems, then I could see such a triage.
We like to think that Grandma will get the best of care when she goes to the hospital. But the reality of triage will be quite apparent if we don’t get a handle on this thing.
FLORIDA - SCHOOL LUNCHES
Tallahassee, Fla. — Saturday afternoon, the U.S. Department of Agriculture granted waivers to the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS), providing flexibility to allow schools, child care institutions, and community organizations to feed children during the current COVID-19 school closures.
The federal waivers allow FDACS to provide authority to local school districts on alternative methods of delivering nutritious meals, such as “grab and go” meals, meals available in school pick-up circles, multiple meals (such as breakfast and lunch) picked up at one time, and other methods in non-cafeteria settings, to promote CDC-recommended social distancing. FDACS will also leverage its Summer BreakSpot and Seamless Summer Option non-profit and community partners to ensure Florida’s students are fed.
...While Commissioner Fried and FDACS are encouraging all school districts to provide meals throughout the closure, the decision to serve meals during school closures rests with each school district. School districts may begin providing alternative meals as soon as Monday, March 16.
Parents and families should contact their local school district to determine if school meals will be served during this closure, and if so, how meals will be available.

Google answers naysayers – all systems go for a COVID-19 website
On Friday, President Trump announced that engineers at Google were working on a website focused on helping get information out on the coronavirus. By Friday evening the usual suspects in the left-wing media were calling that information a lie, something that President Trump just made up out of thin air and Google didn’t even know in advance that he was going to make such an announcement. Guess what happened Saturday evening? Google cleared it all up. Let’s just say there’s a lot of tweets that have not aged well after that clarification....
The initial reaction by those wishing failure on the Trump administration at the expense of the health of Americans was petty and unhelpful. Instead of criticizing and blaming Trump for a worldwide pandemic it would be nice if the anti-Trump media would take a breath and do some real reporting instead of offering up personal opinions. It will go a long way with the public if reporters would just report on updates and stop wasting energy on trying to do gotcha pieces....

I found this little blurb that might explain it - not lower risk from genetics, but based on median age, which is ridiculously low in Africa, due to centuries of war -

I recall working at a site in Idaho and I mentioned to the client I had contemplated staying at the fancy new Indian casino/ hotel, but opted for the old one-story place so I could park my truck outside my room.
