Is it time to panic? NO.
This document is trying to help you to understand the situation at hand and not to terrify you. We want to make sure you understand the facts and understand what is at stake. This is a Pearl Harbor moment for our country. We are facing a real threat and we need to face it with all of our resources. When people decry the seriousness of this moment they are steering our country off a cliff, we need everyone to understand that this is important and if we work together to slow the spread we will get through this as we are learning from Singapore, Hong Kong, South Korea, and China.
The effectiveness of our healthcare system to deal with a sudden tsunami of respiratory illness is what is at risk. If our healthcare system buckles under the strain of tens of thousands of patients then we could be looking at a catastrophe.

Which medical discipline is your doctorate degree in?
Ill take this group of doctors gathered information and professional advice, over your snarkfilled inane comment.
I see exactly who is part of the problem, here.
And the economic damage is not justified based on these facts....

Please send POTUS your numbers, and let him know that he is overreacting to this pandemic.
His experts are obviously misleading him.

My guess? By May 1, back to business as usual. Then the historians can weigh in

I pray you are right.
We sure will! Just stay home as much as possible, do the social distance thing, and wash your hands.
We sure will! Just stay home as much as possible, do the social distance thing, and wash your hands for next 4-6 weeks.
Strange....you post your silly panic button, yet, this article SPECIFICALLY says NOT to panic.
I challenge the statement in the article that once you develop antibodies to a virus you can’t get it again and worse they use chicken pox as one of the examples. The varicella zoster virus is the cause of chicken pox and I suffer chronic nerve damage to this day on my face as proof that the pox never leaves your body and your antibodies are incapable of preventing its return. They just call it shingles on subsequent appearances and in my case it was many times worse than the chicken pox. I believe it is also infectious in the shingle stage through shedding from the open pox. When shingles presented on me, I had the familiar chicken pox blisters on my right check under my eye with excruciating pain like a blowtorch that lasted for days and the doctor was concerned about it getting into my right eye. After having chicken pox, I have heard that there are no guarantees one will not get shingles even after receiving the two shot vaccine protocol. The bottom line is that viruses are nasty entities, hovering somewhere between being alive and dormant seeds possessing the potential for life.
Good comment. Thanks!
Good comment.
Good job and thank you. Im 52 with asthma and hi bp. My two 20 yo daughters have moderate asthma. Its not just older Americans at risk. :(
Then you and your daughters should self quarantine like we are...not the 95% of the population at less risk, right?
1 to 27+ day incubation period is an additional thing to consider. I think most people could agree that we haven’t seen the worst of the flareup yet.
Not millions. Only takes thousands to utilize all the respirators.
On a confined cruise ship they had 17% infected. on the Diamond Princess they evacuated 4. Of those, I am not sure how many actually died.
Yes :(
59 have died so far in the US.
I agree with everything you said except you left out social distancing
Awww - did I hit a nerve because I won’t submit to your sheepish mass hysteria?
Almost 300k were hospitalized with H1N1. Panic? Hospitals overrun? Lock downs?
You sounds as if you don't understand the exponential growth of this type of thing...
I stopped reading after Your first sentence. He did not say that. He said if you catch it again your system defenses will probably adapt faster and it will be less severe
