Is it time to panic? NO.
This document is trying to help you to understand the situation at hand and not to terrify you. We want to make sure you understand the facts and understand what is at stake. This is a Pearl Harbor moment for our country. We are facing a real threat and we need to face it with all of our resources. When people decry the seriousness of this moment they are steering our country off a cliff, we need everyone to understand that this is important and if we work together to slow the spread we will get through this as we are learning from Singapore, Hong Kong, South Korea, and China.
The effectiveness of our healthcare system to deal with a sudden tsunami of respiratory illness is what is at risk. If our healthcare system buckles under the strain of tens of thousands of patients then we could be looking at a catastrophe.

Oh no! Another cliff!
Please read the article. Lots of good info.
That's the idea behind flattening the curve.
However, it's fair to ask - is shutting down EVERYTHING a reasonable control?
We have a second deadly virus/plague in America - Attorneys. Just try not to shut down and if there is any death, impairment, etc., you will be sued and lose.
Is it reasonable to flatten the curve by limiting all groups and petri dishes. Probably.
We’ve changed OUR behavior. ..but we are 69...we do not work, go to school, etc...and we can communicate via phone or computer with family for awhile...shutting down everything for Retirees is basically what’s going on.
I'm doing all that but the alarmists won't consider more optimistic theory, one tweeted out by former Fox News reporter Adam Housley -- that Corona has already spread through much of the country. He said he had high ranking sources in both parties telling him that. And, that would be consistent with the Ohio Department of Health's claim that 100,000 already have Corona. But, that could be the end of the cycle, not the beginning if Housley's sources are correct.
I live in Ohio. I and several others I know had the worst flu we've ever had. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Housley's tweet was accurate.
And, it's absurd to rule out that this virus is being partially used to cause economy harm that would prevent Trump from being reelected. The Russian collusion claims were nonsense from the beginning. So, no one is going to tell him the powers that be that hate Trump wouldn't use Corona to try to defeat him.
So, how long does the country have to be shutdown before the country can go back to normal?
Thanks for a breath of fresh air.
Thank you!
If Dr. Corona-flake is right, then hospitals should be overflowing with millions of people by April.
I’d love to make a wager with this guy.
“Hey Doc”
“$2k says your full of shit”
Good question.
We went to a restaurant last night that typically has all 40 tables filled and a 15 min wait. Three tables filled. Wait staff sent home, owner doing it all. Not a good look. I left a huge tip.
What will be the effect when the vaccine is only as effective as the flu vaccine? 43-50%? The link doesn’t work for me at all.
Mortality rate is a function of the level of medical attention and quality one receives. Its also a function of getting a respirator if you need one. If everyone catches it at the same time the 1% to 5% that need a respirator will not all get one. If we slow the infection rate down more will have time to recover and respirators will be more readily available, lowering the number of deaths.
Yeah, ok.
You bet!
And, that is the goal -- cause a severe recession and blame it on Trump.
It's being accomplished with the help of the alarmists here.
There are posts here of people bragging how they will be going to church this morning.
Wonderful.
It is not the virus but fear and panic, even among those who should not better, that is creating the economic downturn and with it any attendant strains on the healthcare system.
NUMBERS tell the whole story, and even in “ground zero” the regular flu has killed more people than Cov-19.
Does that mean Cov-19 is not a serious problem? No, it is a serious problem.
But perpetuating Armageddon what ifs that do not have a basis in the numbers only helps create the very self-defeating psyche the “concerned doctors” say they dont’t want to do.
What should YOU do??
1. Don’t be building fear and panic within and from yourself.
2. Don’t engage in self-defeating panic buying.
3. Clean every surface you touch in your house.
4. When out protect your hands and do not touch your mouth, nose or eyes - a whole lot more important than any mask.
5. If YOU are ill, wear a mask to protect others (from a cough or sneeze you make), do number 4 so that you don’t contaminate things you touch, and DO NOT GO TO WORK.
6. Wash your hands, frequently.
Actually, if all those things were done ANYWAY, there would be a lot less seasonal flu every year, and spread of Cov-19 would be more easily contained.
LOL!
I kinda like them posting and kickin it back to the top. They are helping even tho they don’t want too.
You are correct
Good point!
