That's the negative view. There is also a positive view, one such positive is that the EBT will still flow, for the electricity and water will likely still flow, and the government will *MAKE SURE* EBT cards are operational. Therefore, the likelihood of urban explosion is lesser.
Still, be careful, have situational awareness, and be ready. I am. Freepers, we knew about this 5 or 6 weeks before the general public, and that gave us a head start on getting set up. About the only thing I missed was masks, and I just caught up on those too.
It’s like that here in PA too.
Welcome to Venezuela....
It’s crazy.
Hysteria. It’s like a snowball. Even if people aren’t worried they know everyone else will buy up everything so they have to buy now also.
Oh no!!! Much like a tree cut down, those shelves will never be stocked again!
On the plus side, this gives folks a glimpse of what a store in a socialist country looks like on a normal day.
I’ve got 45 pounds of kidney beans coming in next week which will about do it for me. My estranged wife was complaining about the lines she encountered when she was trying to stock up yesterday. Other than the order of beans arriving, I wrapped it up almost three weeks ago.
On the whole feeling a good deal more confident about the thing as details unfold, but it still looks like we’re in for quite the ride.
Thank goodness they left the straws and pickles.
Evidently, coke addicts and pregnant women arent affected.
“WE DIDN’T LISTEN!!!!”
Exactly! I have been a rookie prepper for years. I think it is time to raise the bar on my prepping efforts.
JoMa
We live in a fairly civilized, Republican area. Everyone has a gun and a dog, so no crime. A lot of people didn’t prep and are just catching up. My wife and I bought something everyday, but didn’t go crazy.
This morning stores were busy, but people were polite and tolerant of each other. I see people pulling together.
P
Well, at least there are still some plastic straws left.....
Until Gavin Newsom or Bill De Basio find out about them.
Very similar to our grocery store here in the People’s Republic. Land of Peasant Living.
That wasn’t Kroger. You walked onto the set of The Walking Dead, silly!
I am in sleepy Crawfordville, Fl. Probably a few thousand people. There was still food at the local Walmart but the shelves were about 50% stocked. People were calm and decent, but they were buying ridiculous amounts of stuff. I am told the Win Dixie was the same way.
I bought freeze dried food from a prepper company about a month ago and people thought I was crazy.
My Marine vet buddy and his girlfriend are both sick as dogs from visiting Miami. His dentist took his temperature and sent him packing and that was last week when he wasn’t really feeling badly. They are 36.
Same where I’m at.
Maybe going to try ordering groceries from online.
WOW!!!!
In the last few days, I have been to two Food Lions, a Lowes Foods and a a Carli C’s...
All four had plenty of food stuff...Meats, canned goods, fresh veggies and fruits....
Toilet paper was low, but there was still some in each store...
Look in the aisle for vegan and gluten free foods. They’ll still be there.
Just Google how many cases of corona virus in US today. No matter what you wont get an answer.
