Listening to Biden and Sanders talking about fighting this virus, you'd think it was Christmas time for big government programs. They can hardly wait for the free market economy to come crashing down so they can ride in on their socialist unicorns to save the day.
Woo hoo!! Do we ever have a big government socialist 'free' healthcare, 'free' money plan for all, baby. Open borders, too.
Once W.H.O. declared it a “pandemic” a lot of wheels were set in motion, Trump had to do something.
I guess I must have been the only one watching the coronavirus pressers with Mike Pence, Dr. Fauci and team.
Trump was directly asked in one of them whether further travel restrictions on Europe would be imposed. He answered “not yet, but that option is on the table”.
Personally I think that was a mistake, he should have done this sooner. But it was not a panic move.

After this fiasco is over would you vote for Biden/Bernie or Trump to dig us out. Philosophy won’t get it done.
Yes. Last October there was a brief, minor dip in interest rates, where one went lower than the other, and all the financial fake gurus started crowing about the “Recession!” They didn’t get their wish. But a few months later they could not stand the sight of the DOW heading for 30,000, and they looked for relief.
Lo and behold, a made-to-order crisis arose! A disease that broke out in China. The plan was to go 24/7 with the media hype, to get every last person on Earth talking about it! It was to be the crisis of the century. Then, no matter the outcome, they would blame Trump and do to him what they did to GWBush with Katrina.
Everything is already in place. They are ready. They went on record saying that his speech of March 11 was about saving the economy, instead of peoples’ lives. Then biden came up with his “plan.” Every leftist media type is criticizing everything Trump does.
Obviously more people will die. The disease is not over yet. They will see an opportunity in the midst of all the suffering and confusion, and they will go for it. With one voice, the media bots and the democrat party will pounce on Trump, and blame him for the deaths.
This is a revolution in the works. One communist tactic is to disrupt the civil order, and in the ensuing confusion take advantage of the situation to institute a marxist form of government. They want a total market collapse now.
I received a phone call from a reporter just before DESERT STORM.
He asked me if I’d ever heard about a place called The Kasserine Pass.
I told him I had.
He asked me if American Soldiers were going to have another Kasserine Pass.
I laughed.
I asked him if he thought the Iraqi Army was as good as the old WWII German Wehrmacht.
He mumbled.
I told him the American forces were going to go through the Iraqi Army like a hot knife through butter.
Never heard from him again.
America will get through this OK.
There are still plenty of tough Americans around.
Which is why all the ‘with her’ government agencies didn’t just drop the ball, they threw it away into the weeds.
CIA/FBI/State couldn’t get him, CDC/HHS was up to bat next.
The Left is downright giddy about bringing down the whole country just to hurt Trump.

I was in Dollar General today while the clerk was opening boxes of Purrell Hand sanitizer. We were talking about how much money they’re making off stuff like this. It’s simply ethyl alcohol.
So you believe Trump is not strong enough to craft the message, and was goaded into doing something he didn’t want to do? yeah, that sounds like him.
I don’t know where ya’ll live but here in Texas, things are pretty normal. With the exception that you can’t find hand sanitizer and toilet paper seems to be running low. But there isn’t sheer bedlam or chaos or panic. We’re all going about our day to day...is it different in other areas? Maybe, but I really have to say that no one seems to be paying it much attention. I know I’m not....washing my hands, just as I normally do.
Yep. Disgusting. It has been a well-coordinated blitz aided by some NeverTrumpers and even a couple of FR posters who are relentlessly pushing the narrative at a fever (!) pitch.
Yup, the entire world decided to release a bio weapon just so they could crash the economy and get rid of Trump.

I like the quiet.
I found his speech reassuring. However, immediately afterwards, the news started coming in of Tom Hanks and his wife, and of the NBA shutting down, and earlier that day the Houston Rodeo shut down, etc. The panic seems to be in spite of the speech IMO.
A relative works at a local Costco, people are beginning to hoard and panic buy — everything.
I have stayed away from Sam's and Costco since the virus became the top story. For some reason everybody instinctively runs to the warehouse stores to stock up. My wife did some stocking up at a local HEB grocery store this morning and had no problem finding anything, including toilet paper.
It’s just sickening. I heard the Sanders and Biden harangues today. Could only listen to a minute or two. Just sickening.
BUT...I’m pretty comfortable pro-Trumpers are still with the President. I just can’t see anybody that was for him before the coronavirus event would be against him now. A pandemic is bad. Losing a country to the Left would be even worse.
Never let a crisis go to waste.
