I just had a scary thought. How is this going to affect the food supply is this goes on. Fields going unharvested, etc.

Why do you think I’ve been ordering seeds?

I’m ordering enough for us and neighbors. Especially stuff like sweet corn, blackeyed peas, limas, winter squash and the like.

IF you can get a sweet potato or two (fresh) and you live somewhere with a warm/hot summer you can start your own slips. 3 or 4 sweet potatoes would put off enough slips for you and neighbors. Instructions on the net for how to do this.

Yeah, what happens when the same farm workers who get e-coli on lettuce get this virus?

You can't harvest what didn't get planted. The wet, rainy season last year prevented planting. What little did get planted was barely ready for harvest.

The potato fields have been plowed in Idaho. I see new sprinkler lines in place.
