“I think rural schools will still be going. Chicago might have to shut schools down but a lot of the State is corn field country. Nearest neighbor, a mile away etc”
I doubt it...but we’ll see!

All it will take is one positive case in school and everybody will freak.

There is no need to include everyone and their cousin to stand behind the speaker at these pressers. Distance, people, distance.

Well, if this virus takes me, I want to be remembered as a classy guy.
In summary - he has a friend who ‘knows’.
He asked his friend if this was ‘it’ about Swine Flu - was told “Nope”
He asked his friend if this was ‘it’ about Ebola Virus - was told “Nope”
He asked his friend if this was ‘it’ about Coronavirus - was told “Yes, this is it”

Mini-report from NYC:
Subways relatively empty. Stores packed.
I tried to go to my usual market and there was a line on the sidewalk to get in, with the cash register line inside winding around the store.
Later, I found out a possible reason why today and not yesterday: They just closed two public schools in the South Bronx. Everyone wondering what to do if all the kids are suddenly home. This could be a good thing.
I wish people would stop talking on the subway. Not just the orators that blast their voice through the whole car, but ordinary people chatting it up. On the elevators too. One guy singing along with his headphones.
I’m not going to my favorite meeting for the first time (with a few exceptions).
A poster on the wall at work did not say everything the way it should.
And onward!
I like Wuhanic Plague - rhymes with Bubonic Plague.
That’s too scary for some so I stopped using it.
