Thanks—like I said, brain dead public officials...

Check out gardening catalogs.

I don’t know where mine initially came from but after several generations here, I figure they are OK.

I don’t think that particular lawyer had a clue that he was exposed, unlike the jerk in New Hampshire and the dumb dad in St Louis.

Well, hopefully if it comes to those measures, they will actually work.

Some states will do a better job than others—that is the reason you want the quarantine at the state line.

You do want my stupid governor making your state’s people sick.

*** I asked hubby if he thought the TP that I have up in the attic, from 0blama days, is still good.... ***

Last summer, a Friend cleaned a shed for me. There was a huge box of “commercial” one ply type toilet paper someone had stored in my shed and never claimed. It was from a friend of theirs who owned a toilet paper factory.

After almost ten years in my NOT climate controlled shed, surprisingly, it was still good, so I told my neighbor who cleaned the shed she could have it. 200 rolls...She was thrilled.

The same person who stored it in my shed over ten years ago is the same one who reported that Sam’s & HEB were out of TP today. Asked about the TP they had stored in my shed, joking, it was probably moldy & degraded.

I was shopping today at the local Wegmans grocery store.

The store was MOBBED at about 11 AM on a school day.

They were completely out of:
toilet paper
rubbing alcohol
hydrogen peroxide
chicken

They were mostly out of:

paper towels
water
hand soap
pasta
flour

There was one turkey left and a turkey breast.

I grabbed the turkey.

It’s food. People are so conditioned to think that turkey is only for the holidays, they obviously were passing it up.

Not me.

I expect the big blitz will happen this weekend.

I hear that there are still many smaller stores that are fine with supplies of almost everything as they have their loyal customer base and other people don’t think to go there.

I did find plenty of chicken at another store and picked up that, some pork roasts, bacon, sausages, lard, some misc spices that we were low on.

I noticed that most of what’s missing is the prepared food. If you want to make your own or even know how to do it, those supplies are still around.

I will be vacuum sealing and freezing a bunch of the meat and pressure canning the chicken. I have a local farm stand that I can go to for veggies. We can basically avoid almost all human contact for quite a while.

Mr mm has often questioned my quantity buying asking constantly *Do we really need that?*.

Now he’s the one almost panicking about it. Considering he’s always been a *go to church come hell or high water* person, he’s absolutely dead set against going at this point.

I have been vindicated........

:)

LOL. Funny story.

I think there’s a box of TP stored in our out building now that I think about it.

Stored out there because one of our relatives used to park a trailer and visit for weeks at a time (all good) and there’s a separate septic system for that. They just stored some stuff here to keep from having to bring it. Didn’t take it with them when they sold the trailer. Ours now! if it’s still good. May share with neighbors if things get completely unwound this summer.

My daughter calls every night worry about me.

It’s getting tedious. It’s sweet. But she calls in the middle of whatever I am watching.

Some Dollar General stores have groceries too. Some of those have ‘fresh food’ as well.

Might not hurt to try those if you can’t find anything in the local big box grocery stores.

Dollar Generals are usually NOT located in big metro areas so perhaps, at this point, less chance of being in line behind some infected asymptomatic 20yr old.

CNN (I have it on mute) showed New Rochelle National Guard folks in full biosuit gear—head to toe.

That question has been answered—thumbs up for the NY National Guard for taking care of their folks—and sending the right message to the locals.

The cities folks are just now figuring that out, they are now driving out into the country side to. Our local DG is very busy now. No lines but busy

You have that eastern Oregon casino situation to your west and Jackson Hole (tourist haven) to your east.

Your state is the _classic_ case of where a quarantine at the state line is needed ASAP.
