Just received my “invitation to respond” to the 2020 census. An invitation that can’t be declined - the envelope says “YOUR RESPONSE IS REQUIRED BY LAW

Real skinny contents. I thought good, no American Community Survey - but NOOOOO !
I need to fill out the census on-line.
(Does everyone have a PC and internet service? Seems like the elderly and POC will be impacted the most. )

It does say “If you are unable to complete your 2020 Census questionnaire online, we will send you a paper questionnaire in a few weeks for you to complete and mail back.” - How would they know? no phone number is given here...

The last paragraph finally has a phone number to call “if you need help completing your 2020 Census...”

Now for all you lonely hearts out there or shy people...if you do not do anything, they will send a Census Bureau Interview to your home to collect your answers in person.

Last census we filled out the simple one. Didn’t fill out the long crapola. What is online now, the simple? A census person tried to get us many times but we have a 6 ft tall fence and fence and house is 250 ft from the road se we kept missing her .... :-D

That’s strange. Our Census form came today. It included an envelope for the mail-in, but it also offered the option of online answers.

I received that ‘American Community Survey’ several times years ago. I always threw it in the trash. No way was I going to respond to that insidious invasive outrageous questionnaire, not ever.

They even called me on the telephone several times, kept warning me. I always ignored.

Got the new 2020 form in the mail yesterday. This is a bunch of crap. They already know who we are. I do not understand why we bother with these ridiculous formalities.
