Johns Hopkins is constantly messing with their numbers, labels and sources. I can only assume they have a bunch of students running the tracker and they can’t make up their mind how to do it. They just “lost” over 3,000 cases from their total. UK now shows only 3 cases, France only 3 cases, etc. Also, they have changed Taiwan at least 4 times now, going back and forth between making them part of China, independent, deleting them altogether, and for now, putting an asterisk next to them, as Taiwan*. Someone also deleted “Occupied Palestinian Territories”. It appears are fighting over the labeling of countries based on their political views...
Also note that lab supplies and equipment have limited many states ability to test, so the numbers are falling further and further behind the actual spread of the virus...

If you test you get more cases....
When someone dies, that case is closed immediately, whereas someone who will ultimately survive can take weeks to be cleared...so the bias is a bit toward a higher death rate for those who are stricken with it severely enough to be hospitalized or to see a doc about it.
Just like flu, anyone not too sick is going to sleep, medicate and eat their way clear of the disease - those cases NEVER get reported...but they can be estimated.
We will have to wait for many months to get an accurate mortality rate for this disease from several Western (and some honest Eastern) nations. Then they have to be analyzed to get a death rate for each age group. This also assumes that the virus doesn’t mutate, because if it does, then we will be dealing with two (or more) different viruses and a single death rate will not be accurate.
Relatives should sit in their car and remind grandma to keep her window open to let the breeze flow through. And tell her roommate to what their hands.

Regardless of the true nature of this virus and the illness it creates, when it becomes necessary for a government to put the knife in its own economy in response, that is when governments collapse...even entire societies. Trump may be forced into this, and if so he might as well write his own resignation along with it as the government can not survive the shutdown of the economy. When masses of people become destitute, and they will very quickly under those circumstances, then all normalcy and control of events is lost...and the government falls.
Austin reporting anyone, including staff, entering care facilities will be temperature tested.

I guess the same sort of question holds for hand sanitizer. My wife scored on “limit of 4” 16 oz(?) bottles of hand sanitizer @ Aldi yesterday. Out today, she says.
An old friend (sort of a “flu sis”?) called earlier too, a little freaked out. Her Wal-Mart in Paducah, KY(!) was totally out of toilet paper. I was a bit surprised, but then, I noticed that our Charmin “Extra Strong” is “Made In USA of domestic and imported materials”. I imagine the cheap stuff is more so. Holey S-—. So to speak.
I told her in a month or two we might have some spare hickory tree leaves.
I’ve talked to 2 ppl, on opposite sides of TX, today, who’ve had doc appts and they said temps/screening happened at each location.

Contact her provider. They will guide you through visit procedures during this pandemic. A lot of physician groups are ramping up telemedicine (seeing patients via audio/visual). Even Medicare is working out wrinkles to pay for telemed during the coronavirus pandemic. Not optimistic it will apply for opioid refills, however.
